Using DC for a Sanguinary Priest

Hey guys, here is a question: Do you guys think would be a problem if I used a DC model painted in white as a Sanguinary Priest? The reason is I cannot afford a Priest this month(and I have DC in supply), and since I order things from exterior, I only buy things once a month...so? What you guys think?

There aren't Sanguinary Priest models, apart from the old Corbulo model, so it's open to interpretation as to what a Sanguinary Priest looks like. You can use any model you want, or convert one, and most that I have seen have been converted out of death company and sanguinary gaurd parts, along with standard marine bits.

So in short, yes, that would be fine.

Use lots of Grails! I'm actally planing on attempting the same thing, only issue is that he wont have any of those Appoc tools, so he will be a Red/White bloke who looks a little funny.

I've kit bashed my priests using parts from both the new DC and SG boxes. There are plenty of bits that are covered with grail's, I think one of my priests has at least 5 or 6 grail icons on him. Hanging from his leg, shoulder pads and jump pack spring to mind. The good thing with the DC box is "Blood Droplets" are plentyful, which is very fitting for a Sang Priest if you ask me.

well there is this one From GW's Site

but I made mine with bits from the command squard, DC and regular marines kits, but so long as it is clear what he is there is no problem :)

Go for it, it's totally fine!

I have used some DC legs, assault marine torso and cut up a plastic apothecary chest to start one of my JP Sang Priests. I will be including more DC pieces like a BA Emblem left shoulder, a grail styled right shoulder, DC Jump pack with lots of purity seals. the DC is a GREAT way to make normal marines look more BA and making really unique special models!

Here is my example of the DC kitbashed SP:

And a converted Corbulo with a DC Shoulder pad:

Okay, fair do's. I'd hardly call that a Sanguinary Priest though, that's just an Apothecary. I'd want my Sanguinary Priests to look a little more than just Apothecaries.

As long as theres something that ooks like a reil or a narthesium or something that you can point out to rules lawers that he does have the right equipment. My priest is compleately dc modeled.
