Rossco
I usually use a spray varnish and everything is wonderful and all is well in the world but on my latest project I need different finishes in different spots and so am using GW 'ard cote and brushing it on, it seems a little thicker than I'd like so my question is, should I be thinning it and with what ? thanks in advance for any help you can give, Rossco Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204730-gloss-varnish-question/ Share on other sites
Tanhausen
I believe you can thin it with water (like any acrylic based products). If it is solvent based, it will eat both the plastic and the acrylic paints Hope it helps! Moribund the Burgermeister
Water is correct (assuming you use GWs or similar), and yes, you should thin it just like any other paint you use. Tranc
Be careful, if you use too much water, it may pool and collect in places. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204730-gloss-varnish-question/#findComment-2445029 Share on other sites
