Need help creating a scenario for my son and me.

Thanks for letting me know it's illegal. I thought it was one per squad. So I have been playing it wrong. I think I iwll let it stand for this game since someone already said that the DA will not win this one.

My heart just broke 2 minutes ago. While my son likes DA, he wanted to paint the Dreadnaught Red. I asked why, and he said he wanted them like Blood Ravens. I asked who are Blood Ravens and he said they were the chapter in the game Dawn of War.

So it looks like he is breaking ranks now sniff sniff. He said, "you have your army Daddy, I will have mine". God bless his soul. Only if he knew how expensive it's going to be to start over again LOL. Guess he will be getting a Blackreach box all for his own soon lol.

Chapter 2, Shadows and Flame quick Battle Report.

A fierce battle, with a DA victory. The Terminators were able to hold onto the site and prevent any Tyranid from escaping. Also the DA was able to recover the Chapter Master and a Troop of Fallen DA from the previous battle. The Tyranids were able to hold on to the other Troops of DA. So this was a Decisive victory for the DA.

Me and my son had a blast. He is loving this narrative battles. I have made plenty of mistakes, but who cares. We had fun. I forgot a few weapons on each side so no side had an advantage. When I forgot about the Apothecary, my son reminded he gets to save one wound. So he is learning while Daddy is forgetting LOL.

He is looking forward to Chapter 3. Now I need to think of something new. He wants me to use the Tyrgron Model I have. Not sure if I want to include it just yet.

Maybe I will use it as a Mawloc instead of a Tyrgron. Sorry for the short report. I am tired and beat. Not feeling to well today. Hopefully have some pics of later.

Any ideas for the DA trial units or is this going into a bigger battle. Now that the secret is out, you can plan a Planetstrike expansion as the rest of the DA come on down now that the 'Nids have been exposed. Instead of Bastions, you can say the Nids burrowed a few new holes that are the objectives.

Ok, guys, depression is setting back in for me a bit. I have stopped doing anything, but want to continue. So I need your help for ideas right now.

Son wants to use the Dreadnaught, and loves the 2+ saves from terminators but also wants to use PA DA since he likes them as well. So what army build can I use for the DA?

This is what I got from the Tyranid forum. So I have an idea for Tyranids but what should I do for DA?

-------

take the trygon - then charge it into his terminator squad - the fight is more or less even, but it probably won't last more than a turn or two.

here's a scenario to use the trygon:

The tyranids, trapped in the mine, are trying to find a new way out - failing that, they're just going to make one.

An ancient horror, the Terror of the Deep, has awoken from its slumber and is tunneling its way out. Dark angel auspex have detected the seismic tremors signaling of it digging.

Dark angels have isolated the area it will come up in and have sent troops in to stop it and to plug whatever hole it may leave behind for other tyranids to escape.

Their techmarine has provided a specially modified seismic warhead to close the tunnel. Their mission, close the tunnel and kill the tyranid that is tunneling though the earth.

Special rules:

seismic warhead is a marker that can be moved by any space marine model - the marines must "fire" seismic warhead into the trygon's exit hole. They do this by moving into base contact with the hole and then activating it during a shooting phase. It is considered a heavy weapon, so a unit cannot move and fire it during the same turn (unless they are relentless)

The warhead has been programmed to go off if it detects tyranids. If a tyranid unit gains control of the warhead (the space marine unit carrying it is destroyed or drops it, and a tyranid unit comes within base contact of it) the warhead immediately goes off. d6" Radius, Str 8 AP 5.

Tyranid exits:

Tyranids only deploy via reserves, through the trygon exit hole. Any unit that is available to come in from reserves and is unable to do so must wait until the next turn to come in.

Tyranids can only deploy 2 units per turn through the trygon exit hole.

Trygon automatically arrives turn 1.

Victory conditions:

Tyranids: destroy the warhead or eliminate all units that can carry it.

Dark Angels: destroy the emergence hole and the trygon.

Tweak to suit your fun...

Not shure how many points. Last game was 700 or 800 points I can't remember, but we go up each game. So I am thinking 1000 maybe 1250, depends on what he wants. He would like to have alot of units since last time he only had 3 or 4 untis to play with.
