BA: Dante + HG, 2PW, PG, Chapter banner Mephiston 10 man VV, 2 PW, PF, PP 10 man RAS, PW, 2 PP 5 man RAS, 2 PP 10 man Tac, Flamer/ML LR Baal Pred, HB sponsons RG: Shrike Command Squad -Bikes, x3 LC, x2 MG, banner Tigurius 10 man Tac Terminator Squad, AC/CML 10 man Scout Squad, snipers, ML 7 man Scout Squad, CCW/BP, HB x2 10 man Tactical Squad, MG, ML, PF (Rhino/DP) Vindicator Mission: Annihilate, Spearhead BA win roll off, choose corner and 1st turn. Dante's HG and Tacs gain Red Thirst. Dante nerfs Shrike with Deathmask Curse BA turn 1 Vehicles & Meph back up, LR kills 2 termies RG turn 1 Army advances, drop pod lands next to Baal Shrike leaves termies and joins ASMs Army fleets to close on BA Tac Meltagun immobilises Baal BA turn 2 Dante + HG DS in to middle of enemy, fail to hit anything in shooting VAS suceed with HI land near vindi 10 RAS land behind LR LR and Baal hose termies, LR kills 2 with LC/HB Meph has Wings nullified, shoots 1 tac from DP, charges and kills 5, Sarge wounds him x1 in return. Combat locked VAS pop Vindi with PF, lose 2 in 6" blast - This happens to me a lot Tacs flame 2 scouts and charge, kill 2, win combat & consolidate between termies and HG RG turn 2 Termies, bikes and ASMs surrounds HG and Tacs Tacs disembark from rhino towards VAS, Rhino steams up table Tacs hose VAS, MG & triple snake eyes on armour saves kill 4 Sniper Scouts fire at HG, fail to hit or wound Last 2 CC scouts fire at Tacs, fail to wound Drop pod fires at Tacs, fails to wound Tigurius casts null zone + smite on Dante despite 3 rerolls for psychic hood by Meph - fails to wound Termy AC/Cyclone ML kill 3 HG, Bikes and ASMs kill remainder Tacs charge VAS. VAS kill 7, Tacs kill 3. Tacs lose combat by 3 wounds, fail LD but remain in combat with last PW VAS Meph wipes rest of Tacs and runs towards the brawl with Dante Dante chops one Termy, Shrike and Termies kill Dante, though ASMs fail to inflict wound with 21 attacks. Tig gets quickening but Mephy nullifies Might of the ancients, Tiggy kills one BA Tac Tacs kill one biker, Termies and bikes kill 6 tacs, last 3 die to no retreat! RG all retreat from Mephy BA turn 3 5 man ASMs arrive, fail to hit anything in shooting Tig nullifies Meph's wings, Meph advances on Termies LR kills 2 Termies with LC, Baal kills 2 ASMs VAS kills 2 tacs, but also dies Meph charges bikes, Tig nulls Sanguine sword and Rage but Meph kills them all anyway and advances into middle of enemy RG turn 3 Everyone surrounds Mephy ASMs, Scouts, Tig and Termies shoot Meph down BA turn 4 ASMs move in Baal/LR kills 2 Termies 5 ASMs kill 2 RG ASMs 10 ASMs fail to hurt last Termy and Tiggy 10 ASMs charge, wound Tiggy and lose 2, lose combat and lose another to No retreat! 5 ASM combat kill 2 RG but all 4 die in return RG turn 4 Tiggy uses gate of infinity to appear behind Baal but loses his last Termy to warp accident After failing to kill the AC Termy for 4 turns, Tiggy did the job for me finally Snipers kill 2 ASMs, CC scouts kill 1 more, ASMs kill 2 ASMs and scouts charge, kill the last BA ASMs for loss of one RG ASM Turn 5-7 LR kills Tiggy with LC, Baal kills Shrike and 2 ASMs. Scouts/ASM charge Baal, wrecking it with Krak grenades LR kills last Tac marine, destroys SB on rhino, fails to kill last ASM End of game Remaining forces: RG Gunless rhino, DP, 1 ASM, 2 scouts and 10 man scout squad BA LR RG win 8 KPs to 7 If the LR had killed the Rhino and last ASM I would have won 9-8, but I got torn apart in CC so I think my opponent was the deserved victor. My huge mistake was dropping Dante and HG into the middle of the enemy, forgetting they couldn't assault (I've never used DS for ASMs before). The VAS did a nice job on the Vindicator which single handedly blew me away last game. Mephy could have saved me but I refused to let him cower in cover after he murdered the command squad and he got hosed down by the entire RG army. Burningblood Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Close game. Ravenguard are pretty kick ass. My only criticism would be the points level. 2050? odd. Oh and you should have dropped Dante and his assault squad next to that vindi and blown it up, using your Vanguard squad to HI into something squishy.
