My rough numbers is 1750 with no upgrades on anything, no drop pod (because I don't know the cost), no vow, no assault marines, and no chappy. As for the force? Hehe! the ammo belt! All love that! (is an Assault Cannon from SPACE CRUSADE board game and the belt added from classic plastic green soldiers! :P ) Its a fast painting way with some tips (chains, ammo belts , knives, swords, and other parts like empire , SOB, ) to make this army unique. The original quote made it sound like there was going to be more to come that the lot of us could actually help you with :huh: . The only questions in the whole thing are "Can I?" and "what do you think?" And yes, you can and yes, that is a fine idea. Beyond that, we can't really critique and comment on fluff that hasn't been written, photos that haven't been posted, battle reports which haven't been filed, or pictures of your Crusade at war that haven't been taken.
