Alexos
I have heard alot of complaints regarding the Storm Raven conversions being too bulky. Well, I found this on the internet, and I think that it will meet your expectations for awesome cutting-edgeness. That and it only requires the Valkyrie set, and bits you can find on Ebay. http://www.mywargame.com/2010/04/29/crux-p...raven-tutorial/
Redo
Thanks for the link. That is a nicely painted model. Anyway I think that this Stormraven is too sleek for my liking. I find it a bit too thin at the back and the lack of a tail fin or two tail fins sticking up is not how I imagine that this machine would look like. I also find that the engines are attached rather flimsy. Still that person has done a great job constructing it, the tutorial is rather clear and I am sure that it will appeal to some. Me...maybe I'll wait until a model comes out.
GlauG
Seen it before, not a fan... The only thing I personally dislike is the use of the Valk cockpit, it doesn't mesh with the Marine vibe, IMHO.
Emperors Immortals
Nice link, but i still thnk the best one out there is the extended Kyote (think thats how you spell it, the dog animal thing) pattern from Kyote (or is that coyotee?!?) EDIT; it is coyote, english is not my first language :cuss

Emperors Immortals
the koyote/morticon pattern is here; koyote pattern SR but i was looking for a different pattern that has an extended hull between the wings and rear of the vehicle.
fivepointedstar
I've liked this one since the first time i saw it. it just have the raven look. its sleak and angular like a raven flying. the thunder hawk in all purpose is suppose to be bulky, and huge it carrys alot. Plus it hence the hawk which is way bigger in nature than a raven. the tutorials online seam easy to do and easy if your on a budget. Which most people job, or not have to budget. The way i see it two strom raven "crux" pattern style yeild two stormravens, and two rhinos if you make it right with only buying 4 kits ie.. 2 valkyire, and 2 whirlwinds. With the newer Ba codex those extra rhinos could come in handy or can change them to a different pattern tank altogether. thats just my three cents worth. Zealadin
Seen the Op's version before. Its quite well done, but does lack the Space Marine feel! The Koyote version is very nice however!
Leardinal
@Alexos: I actually used this tutorial to make mine, but I didn't get the clear canopy in the valk kit, so I stole one of the visors off a rhino. Photos: there are gaps and lots of my fixes desperately need to be refined. @emperors immortals: Wow, I may have to remake my conversion: that kyote pattern looks amazing
BLACK BLΠFLY
Don't like it... too orcish for my taste. 0b ;)
GlauG
Leardinal - Prefer your cockpit, but not a big fan of the lascannon mounting there...
Leardinal
@Black Orange: I assume you are talking about my conversion. Lol, I knew it was rough, but I didn't think it was orky... @GlauG: Yeah, I was going to move that to the bottom. I had magnetized it there when I was still trying to get the original valk cockpit to work and hadn't moved it. I guess I assumed the Space Marines Awesomeness would drive for them, so they didn't need to see.
TheHarrower
If anyone is looking for ideas on converting their own Storm Raven, check out my blog. I have a bunch of different Storm Ravens pictured both good and bad. http://dedard.blogspot.com/2010/03/stormra...onversions.html http://dedard.blogspot.com/2010/05/stormra...ons-part-2.html
Crynn
That has to be one of my least favourite Storm Ravens. It looks like the by product of an old shoe and jaba the hut. Nice converting skills but I cant imagine the Storm Raven looking anything like that tbh.

Korraz
My issue with 90% of the Ravens is, that I just can't see how that thing is supposed to fly with that wing-placement. It's the same with Thunderhawks, but T-hawks somehow look...right.
TheHarrower
Aww you missed one TheHarrower. I've missed quite a few actually. Was thinking on doing a Part 3 post. The one you linked to is really nice.
