Help me please!

Recommended Posts

I've run into the problem that some of my brushes are gummed up with paint. I don't know how it happened. I always take great care in cleaning my brushes.

Anyway. Does anyone know of something along the lines of a weak solvent that will dizzolve the paint but leave the brush fine?

I use Windsor & Newton Brush Cleaner & Conditioner.

I got a large bottle of it at an art supply store.

It does a great job of cleaning the brush without killing it, and it even dissolves dried up paint up near the ferrule.

You may have to soak the brush in it for a bit, just don't let the bristles rest on the bottle of the container, suspend the brush somehow.

I'm still on my first bottle, lasts a long time.

I use masters brush cleaner and perserver.. You can pick it up at any place like Micheals or hobby lobby. Lasts a long time, will disolve paint and condition the brushs as well.

You can bring many brushes back from death using this stuff. You can youtube and see some videos.
