The Normish
If I may, I'd like to submit my DIY chapter, the Doom Guard. You can link to my IA by clicking on my sig (that's a representation of my chapter Master, that is). I must say though, that my IA is currently under revision, and that I can't get it up onto the site until I get a power adapter (strange, I thought it was spelled "adaptor") for my Hard Drive - dang American sockets don't conform with my European plugs. Brother Argent
I think I'll be submitting the Eternal Legion (previously known as the Sons of Bennu). Either that or the Iron ragons. Just depends on what I get done on their respective IAs. I'd love to submit both and do two Chapters, if thats going to be allowed this time around. Chapter Symbol: Doom Guard Brief Information: Refer to my IA outline. Dave the Twisted
Think I'll have another go at this Chapter Name: Knights of Ultramar Founder: Take a wild guess Colors Body-Right side Mordian Blue, Left side Chaos Black, Helmet-Right side blue/white depending on rank, left side Boltgun Metal Heraldry: Quartered Blue/Black, Ultra U in center with Red skull ((Top left black, top right blue, bottom left blue, bottom right black)) No apparent ranking symbols, save for the crux terminatus and white helmets/shoulder trim. They organize similar to Templars. Some marines feature heraldry on their kneepad. Brief info: A young successor to the Ultras, they wage war in a mostly-codex fashion but they prefer to group themselves in squads based on personal intimacy and brotherhood rather than by a mandated squad system. Because of this, the term Battle Brother holds much more meaning to them. Knight of Ultramar Veteran All my Knights of Ultramar have white belts, as a symbol of their status. Scouts, still being in training have red belts. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
Here you go. I don't have much fluff for them, but here it is: Name: Iron Flames Parent Chapter: Iron Hands Home world: Ferrigot(volcano world) Extras: When they were going out in search of a home world, they were attacked by a Eldar fleet. During the battle, a patrol fleet of the Salamanders came in and rescued them. Unfortunately, many of the Iron Hands veterans had been killed and much of their fleet was in a near-critical state. The Salamanders guided them to a nearby world where they set down the remains of their ships. Many ships had been so badly damaged that they had to set the retros on and evacuate in pods and thunderhawks. Many parts of the ships flaked off from the friction, some landing near the villages. They established their fortress in the remains of the ships and swore an oath to ad the Salamanders whenever they were needed. Their Chapter Master carries a relic of the villagers, the Burning Blade(relic blade). This was given to them by a giant thing with burning red eyes and black skin that could not be cut by the sharpest knife. He also carries an extremely old bolter with ammunition so holy, it literally burns the heretic and the xenos(hellfire rounds). Slyen
Eck! Sorry I've had a busy weekend and missed this at work today! Er as for chapter I was under the impression we got one assigned to us based off of how the link to the older one. But if that is not the case I'm more then willing to use my own chapter though not everything is together for it... ^^; Anyway here it is in its less than perfect form and if I need to drop any pictures for color schemes or anything, just let me know and I'll edit the post! Name: (I'll get back to you on it, Lets just call them the Powder Princes for now?) Color Scheme: Bright light toned blue armor with dark gray-to black under armor, also the exhust ports on the back pack are painted black. Chest eagles are painted in yellow. Right Shoulder pad is colored for squad designation with Blue being for Tactical, Yellow for Assault, Red for Devastator, and White for Command and Veterans. Helmet strip denotes Company assignment in accordance with Codex colors while white helmets and left shoulder pads denote veterans. Chapter Badge: The Ravenguard bird in a dark gray positioned on the right shoulder rather than the left. Fluffy Bits: The [Powder Princes] were formed during the 26 founding, taking on a role of successor chapter to the Fire Angels. With their losses during the Badab War however the chapter was formed well under half strength and using what gear was salvaged from their fallen brothers. However foolish personal thought had been on this, the Emperor's Tarot demanded them to be the parent chapter. Due to this, the chapter was, and still is, mostly outfitted with Mk 6 "Corvus" armor and limited other resources. A small cadre of close to 50 trainers was selected to train the newer recruits and impart their wisdom and knowledge. During their formative years, before the [Powder Princes] found a fortress world of their own they obeyed the tenants of the Codex faithfully. It was however to be devastating to the fledgling chapter. When they at last found selected a world it was not due to strategic value or a strong warrior culture, it was due to the chapter finding what they believed to be a sign of the Emperor's favor. On the surface of [World Name To Be Determined Still] They located the crash site of a pre-Heresy battle barge, one that had been missing since the early days of the great crusade. The ship however had in the meantime become a hive for Genestealers, the marines not knowing this entered into the ship with out realizing the full extent of the dangers they faced. Nearly the entire chapter was wiped out, and braking from Codex teachings the only way that they managed to survive and take the ship. In the end little more than a company was left standing, and their beliefs had been shaken. Over the next several years they began restoring parts of the crashed ship and began to turn the entire site into what would become eventually the small chapter's fortress monastery. I was fine in Aberystwyth when I did your guy last year. Take them and hide the models when the inspecitons are due if necessary, they never look through your cupboards etc or in your boxes if you do that. I think what they don't like is big pots of paint. If in doubt though, give oyur accommodaitons services a ring and enquire explaining what kind of paint it is etc and that it's specifically for model painting. <EDIT> Got the link fixed for Slyen Cambrius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209863-the-diy-swapping-project-2010/page/3/#findComment-2511322 Share on other sites
