Knights of the Nine

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, so I'm finally finishing my Knights of the Nine Sword Brethren. It's taken me a long time, because I love these models so much I wanted them to be perfect so I took extra care and time make them truly "Elite" ;) Anyway, I've finished the first 5 and the other 4 are very close to being finished. Since most of them are now done, I thought I would share with you guys.

Sigmund, the most senior of the Nine, armed with a power sword and combat shield

Not sure what you mean by "dirty"

While they look great in the pics, they look even better in person. These guys are way above tabletop quality

As for the faces, I thought about doing a flesh wash, but decided not to. The flash does reduce some of the contrast.

I think I know what he means by dirty. The paint is a bit thick here and there, most notably the metallic. The teeth on chainswords and such look kinda chunky. for instance. The cream color on the cloaks on the other hand is smooth as a servitor's bottom: bravo. The red's are nice and blindingly bright too.

I don't know what possessed you to lop off the one SB's lightning claws, but to each their own . The little additions to the models really help give them that non-assembly-line look, too. I'll have to remember to idea-harvest these guys in the future.

Ah, I see what you are saying. I think that is just the way the flash makes it look. On the chainswords there is actually an extra row of teeth that are a little more rounded than the rest. I think this is what you are seeing.

As far as the LC guy, I assume you are referring to Simon? He's actually the same model as Sigmund with the power sword cut off and the head drilled out. I ended up with two boxes of these guys and I didn't want to have two sets of the same 5 guys, so I did a little "remodeling" on the duplicates so that they are more or less different.

They are good and prepaired for OBLIVION...if you catch my drift.

HAHA, yeah you caught me, I did steal the name from that. However, if you read their fluff(link can be found in my sig) you'll see that they actually share more with the medieval Knights Templar than with the game. I just thought it was a cool name. B)
