Raven Guard Techmarine with Thunderfire cannon

Thought I would post a pic of a recent Raven Guard Techmarine I did for you Raven Guard players to see.

I didn't know how tough this model was to build until I sat down to do it.

The base for the cannon is a custom build and I'm putting together a tutorial on it in the coming weeks.

I've got more pics and some WIP stuff on my blog for those interested.

Cool, the model is up with the obliterators in terms of assembling difficulty.

Nice work on the base too. What do you use to highlight black?

I use off brand craft paints when I paint. The color I use to highlight the black is a charcoal type grey. It's fairly dark and has a slight warm tint to it.

it's just enough to give it some variation but not be over the top in contrast. Subtle, that's the word.
