Hey all, just playing around with the Creature Feature that GW put out back in 2004, and came up with a special unit I think sounds like fun.

 

Leo Draconis (Elite, Unique)

 

WS/BS/S/T/W/I/A/Ld/Sv

5/ 3/ 6/ 6/ 3/ 6/ 3/ 10/ 4+

 

Abilities

Winged - moves as if it had a jump-pack

Massive - Monsterous Creature

Spiky - additional attack at +1S on turn it assaults

Resilience (solid slug) - 4+inv to bolters, etc.

Ranged attack (scatter) - S3 AP6 flamer template

Razor-sharp claws - automatically wounds on a roll to hit of 6

Gaping maw - Can swallow man-sized units whole on a 6 to wound

 

Points: 140

 

I'm thinking that it might be underpriced, but then again, it is the cost of 2.333 Predators

He's way underpriced for his line up. Make him at least 200pts, for rending, 4+ invulnerable to bolters and what not.

I can't say more maily because I don't quite understand the way that you've typed up.

Yeah, I left out the explanation of the special rules since I'd be pretty much quoting from GW material. I found the article online here

Quick question: How does this monster relate to these forums? Is it suppose to be a daemon?

Oooh, sorry, guess I forgot to mention the backstory that would tie it in to my Chapter. Basically, a well-meaning but horribly misguided Tech creates these, hoping to strengthen his ailing Chapter. Of course, everything goes horribly wrong, but the upshot is, they now have something to feed all their extra Orcs to. A little silly, I realize, but the initial sketches are promising, and it could be fun to model. Besides, how silly is it really when we have superhuman killing machines . . . riding giant wolves . . . in space . . .
