Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Thank you! :-) I have now finished the second of my Blight Drones, and ain't it a beauty? The squadron is now nearing completion - though I still have another two of these lying around, unassembled, practically crying for attention. Enjoy! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske032.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske033.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske034.jpg And here they are, the both of them: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske030-1.jpg C&C is most welcome! Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris! Ah, how time flies. For some reason, I never seem to get as much done, as I would like. Horrible, really. Nevertheless, the weekend has afforded me time to paint a wee bit, and for once, it is my Chaos Terminators, who have gotten a bit of love. Here they are: (With flash) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/FallenAngels-Terminators001.jpg (Sans flash) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/FallenAngels-Terminators007.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/FallenAngels-Terminators010.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/FallenAngels-Terminators002.jpg As can be seen, I still need to do the robes, hightlight the eye lenses, and all the nittygritty details, such as the armour trimming etc. I estimate another 10 hours of work in these chums. Hopefully, they will be done by October 1st, as I have an Apocalypse game against a horde of Imperial Guardsmen (without any armour support, besides three Armoured Sentinels (2 Lascannons, 1 Plasma Cannon)) and their Grey Knight allies (which is a bucket full of Terminators, Imperial Temple assassins of all flavours, Hector Rex and friends). I look forward to any comments and suggestions, that you might have. MagicMan
Looking good man, i like the robed legs you've used. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212604-master-ciaphas-forge/page/4/#findComment-2879534 Share on other sites
Master Ciaphas
Hail! Thank you, mate! Very nice of you. The robed legs from MicroArts are indeed brilliant for giving the Terminators just that extra bit of height. How it will work ingame with the TLOS rules, I am a bit unsure off, but the models are fantastic. All I need is to paint them...which is quite a bit harder done than said. This morning prior to work, I managed to wash the metal bits on their guns with the old "Armour Wash". With a little bit of luck, I should be able to highlight the guns tonight after work. After that, it is either doing the robes, or doing the armour trimming. Any preferences? :-D Regards, Master Ciaphas Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212604-master-ciaphas-forge/page/4/#findComment-2880546 Share on other sites
Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Well - a slight bit more done. As you can see, the guns and power weapon blades are now down (though C&C is always welcome). The armour trimming is coming along nicely, and I plan on finishing it tonight, as well as getting a fair bit of the robes done. Here they are for your viewing pleasure. Sgt. Tiberus Satio
I always used dwarf bronze to dry bursh lightly then mix not even a full tip of chaos black to the bronze and dry brush it. That of course is my taste of looking on the flamers and meltas, or anything that produces enough heat. Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Thank you for your advice. I will see how to implement it next time I get a painting session in. Bearingtheword
Loving the look of the Termies...and it looks like you're gonna have your hands full making up your mind where you're gonna start at between those kits.... Quick question, if you have time to answer: Which shoulders did you use for the termies? Micro-arts as well? They really give it a great look...Thanks! ~BtW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212604-master-ciaphas-forge/page/4/#findComment-2883141 Share on other sites
Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris A rather massive update this time around. First up, your question BtW: the shoulderpads were bought from a shop called Maxmini. Polish I believe. Good and quick service, and thus no complaints from here. Secondly: the Fallen Angel Terminators are now done. It is a great pleasure to have finished them all, as they have been on my desk for almost a full year. Horrible, really! Without further ado: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske045.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske047.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske049.jpg Thirdly, I have a long time ago constructed some Pink Horrors of Tzeentch, but only now are they nearing a top spot on my painting list: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske052.jpg And a test Horror (C&C is welcome): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske054.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske056.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske055.jpg Furthermore, I have built a squad of Raptors, Fallen Angel style... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske036.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske038.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske039.jpg The jump packs are again from MaxMini, and ditto for the heads. Finally, I have made a test Bloodletter and an objective marker: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske040.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske044.jpg Enjoy! Master Ciaphas
Hail! Well - massive update previously, yes, replies...not so much. Anyhow - here is the next piece of work, to have passed through the forge. Lo and behold - Necrodemus, Lord of the Unbound Plague!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske082.jpg C&C is - as ever - most welcome. Have a nice day. Wicced
dang i missed the chance to post after the massive update :P first of all my vote is for the plague hulk! i'd love to see him assembled and painted ;) demons look nice and i love the raptors, i would've gone for more "acrobatic" poses though. necrodemus looks fantastic in all his bloaty nurgleness :P Edited October 16, 2011 by Wicced Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212604-master-ciaphas-forge/page/4/#findComment-2901363 Share on other sites
Grizzly_bear
Been watching your thread grow and I have to say, this force you are building is coming along brilliantly, the only thing I have a gripe with is the size of the termies legs compared to their torsos, but this is all. Your colour on the drones is fantastic and I will continue to view this threa Keep up the work. Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Thank you for your comments. I am well pleased with the Terminators as well. I think the robed legs rock. Anyhow, the weekend has come and gone, and I have had a bit of time to play with some long forgotten minis. First up - the pilot from the Battle for Macragge box: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske084.jpg He will eventually be part of Solomon Lok's retinue...or serving as Officer of the Fleet in an Imperial Guard Command Platoon. Next - an objective marker: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske083.jpg Simple, easy and quick to paint. Took about 30 minutes total. Last, but certainly not least - a Blood Angel Terminator...the way I prefer to see them: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske081.jpg It is, as should be obvious, the marker from the Space Hulk limited release. Have a nice day. NightGount
Love your terminators! They look exactly how, imho, fallen should: ancient, baroque and ornamented, but without any chaos symbols (stars or power runes). Well done! I also love your dead (or undead?) blood angel termy on throne. Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Thank you :-) I am well pleased. Over the weekend I also came up with an alternative colour scheme for my Horrors of Tzeentch - please let me know what you think. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske086.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske087.jpg I also finished a familiar for my Sorcerors yesterday...inspired by the Shadewraith recipe in the latest UK White Dwarf. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske085.jpg I will try to get better pictures later. Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Ah, another wee bit has now been painted: a teleport homer, which counts as an objective marker. Master Ciaphas
Hail frateris Nothing ever stands still, and certainly not the workings of the Forge. For a number of years now, I have wanted to make a proper command squad for Grand Master Belial of my Deathwing. Sadly, I was lacking in ideas...until the Grey Knights came out, with their fantastic new kits. A fair bit of work later, and using bits I ordered some 6-7 years ago, I present to you, the WIPs of a Deathwing command squad: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske082-1.jpg Champion: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske084-1.jpg Standard Bearer: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske086-1.jpg Apothecary: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske085-1.jpg Cyclone Missile Launcher specialist: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske087-2.jpg Red Shirt: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/MalenHandske088-1.jpg The Storm Shields will be painted seperately, so as to allow me easier access to the model as whole :-) C&C is most welcome. tyrannosaurus
Lovely stuff man, great to see so much chaos goodness [badness?]. Absolutely love your Necrodemus, Fallen Angels and the dead BA, and an interesting take on the 'pink' horrors. Are those gonna be 'fallen' Deathwing or loyalists? Master Ciaphas
Thank you! Great to get some feedback on the minis. Master Ciaphas
Hail! Master Ciaphas
Hail! Thank you for your comment! November has been a rather hectic month, but I have finally managed to finish some more stuff. Keeping focus on a particular model is proving to be harder than anticipated, and thus I just HAD to paint this fantastic vehicle instead: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Master_Ciaphas/LandRaider012.jpg It is, as you can see, the transport intended for the above presented Death Guard Terminator squad. I am sure they will be able to do some proper damage...if they are allowed to connect with the enemy! C&C is most welcome!
