Indeed, Cordova! Very much a feudal world! :-D You just wait for the plate mail clad officer to arrived on his plated steed, wielding a long pointy command stick, that might be mistaken for lance, by those ignorant of Imperial military equipment! :-D

Also, I made progress on the hut

And quickly put together an Imperial Barricade line. These are stls of the old Imperial Barricades from White Dwarf issue 213. They are amazing!

With priming done on both the hut and the barricades, I can get to painting the bases tonight after work.

Cheers!

Cheers, mate!

I have made progress on both the favala and the barricade set. Opting for the old school look - and as far as I could tell, the barricades had black metal topping on the card originals?

I think I will be entirely done come Sunday, along with the flocking of the base.

Cheers!

Right, then!

So - I backed a Kickstarter earlier this year, and it delivered Friday afternoon. Last night I managed to finish the scrubbing, cleaning, gluing and putting together of my retro-Space Dwarfs! Huzzah!

I am thoroughly stuck in the nostalgic retro-mood! And loving it!

Basically, this is what I will be working on the next wee while (along with finishing some 3D prints of the original W40k 2nd ed starter set terrain)

I am well pleased with this creative homage to the Space Dwarfs of the 80's! Crisp detail, easy assembly. And perfect in scale!

For scale:

Hail!

Cheers for the comments!

I just had to Google Bob Olley - and nope, they are not. These are a from a Spanish sculptor/creator, how has interpreted the Stouts of Old as Space Dwarfs :-)

I love them - and think they are amazing. Especially once I get them on the table for a spin of W40k 2nd ed...and...perhaps...Rogue Trader, if I ever understand the rules...

In other news, I went into the basement last night and spray primed them all, so that they are ready for a test scheme tonight after work.

The mandatory "look at dry paint" picture :-D
