HJL Posted October 18, 2010 Author Share Posted October 18, 2010 most of the cloak is due to the camera, i think the contrast was too high on my wifes camera, its some crazy thing with buttons and dials all over it that i have no idea how to adjust. The cloth may be a little blotchy as has been discussed, but, as you say, that may be due to the camera and the fact that the miniature gets blown up to a larger than life size! If it isn't then next time try a few thinned layers of colour for the cloth and build them up gradually - I find that gives a very smooth approach that suits cloth.
