death company army help?

Highborn Mergula

Hello people of the forums! I'm new here and have seen an article on the GW website where the army is composed of multiple squads of deathcompany. In the codex it says you can only have one, and i can't find any special rule to suggest otherwise anywhere. Please help me finding this, as i'd like to have multiple deathcompanies in my army.

I couldn't find where best to post this, so moderators, feel free to move this to the appropriate section.

Thanks every one, but what rule is it? cant see it any where? am i blind?

the rules he has is: descent of angels, honour of the chapter, litugires of blood, shadow of the primarch.

and can you also have how many death company dreadnaughts you want too?

in that case i LOVE Blood angels.

It's in Astorath's army list entry - Redeemer of the Lost. With regards to Death Company Dreadnoughts, you can have 1 for every 5 Death Company marines you have in the army, though each dreadnought still takes up a troops choice.

With a fully kitted out 25 man DC squad with jump packs, fairly full complement of special weapons Lemartes and Astorath, you can take 5 DC Dreadnoughts with Drop Pods with DW ML and some Magna Grapples sprinkled in all for 2500 points.

hehe, DC are nice and killy, just dont let your enemy mess them around, if your enemy is clever enough they can choose what your DC attack and assault.

Might i reccomend keeping all of your rage units in transports? put the majority of the army into rhinos and pods, and then one big 15 man DC sqaud with 10 bolters and 5 power weapons and a reclusiarch in an LRC. that way, you choose what they do, not your opponent.

Also, imo, try to avoid jump packing the DC. just a bit too heavy on the points for me

Shouldn't you put Lemmy with the jump packers instead of using a chaplain?

Edit: Just realized you problably put Astorath with that gang and the chaplains with the others...

Here is the list I run:

Astorath

5x DC (jump packs)/infernus pistol, 2x pw & pf

DC dread/Blood Talons & HF

Stormraven/extra armor, TL LC & TL AC

Lemartes

5x DC (jump packs)/infernus pistol, 2x pw & pf

DC dread/Blood Talons & HF

Stormraven/ - same as above -

Chaplain (jump pack)/infernus pistol

5x DC (jump packs)/infernus pistol, 2x pw & pf

Very fast and very hard hitting.
