I am back and have taken out my DA minis to finish painting and constructing. I am trying to fix the cloaks right now because I forgot to leave the deep recesses black so the shading is flat. I only have the starter kit for Citadel paints and also the wash collection. scmbpinto Posted November 20, 2010 Author Share Posted November 20, 2010 Hey guys, a quick question. As stated in my first post I only have the starter kit plus Dehneb Stone and Bleached Bone. So do you have any suggestions to making a bronze or similar style color for the hilt and pommel of my sergeant. I know its a small part of the miniature but I've been mixing small amounts of paint most of the day to try and get a good color and have not had any luck. As an update I added red to the robes today and will finish shading them tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the armor highlighted also. Pictures to come! I'd suggest the easy way out: getting a dull gold or bronze pot (be it Citadel or VAllejo... but nt model Air, because they are SHINY!!!!!) and a Black ink.
