My Newly Painted LRC (1-8-12 Additional LRCS!)

as with the ones before, these look realy good. How do you do those large freehands? I can´t seem to get a straight line done with a brush, even with correcting ten times.

As for the neophyte...ist that brown bags on brown pants? Doesn´t fit into the color theme of the rest, at least to my eyes. I think doing the pants in bleached bone/parchement color would be an option, or a shade of gray. I used vellejo dark gray and black wash with my neos´ clothing. Will post some pics of them later tonight.

Well the trick with the crosses is rather simple....you draw them on first with a pencil and a something with a straight edge (I.e. a ruler) then trace the lines with paint, fill em in and wala ur done.

As for the neoys pants yes they are brown, its there to help them stand out and show they are fabric and not power armor. and I guess for fluffy reasons as I feel they should look/have a different feel as to suggest they are not yet initiates.

@Firepower

Sir your suggestions are always welcome, and your right about the big cross on the top of the rhino the points on the cross definately need some sharpening, and maybe the crosses on the front indents are a bit to big on the other. Ill work on them over the course of the week! Thanks again for the comments all :)

Gentlemen!

The time has come to do another update here, I finished the 2nd of 3 predators that belong in my 1850 list (just in time for today's tournament too!) Let me know what you think!

You, sir, qualify for a win. Congratulations.

Together, the tanks form a very unique style that I haven't seen before (and I do a lot of "idea-plucking") and looks very good.

The "Templar" brand over the tank seems a bit...desperate? Looks cool, mind you, but it's a big fat "I'm a Templar!" signature, which is something that should go without saying. Besides that, the only thing that I spot which looks a bit off is that scripture piece over the tank's right sponson: it's not bad, but just seems a bit strange given how the corners hang.

Very minor personal grievances which are a minor concern at best in light of a fully completed tank battalion of righteousness. :P

I kinda figured that the TEMPLAR stamp over the pred might have that affect. However that's exactly what I was shooting for, I guess it just goes with my nature, I'm a bit cocky and overbearing, and it fits with my personality, so it is a personal touch and I don't expect it to win over too many hearts, however I love it =) Thanks firepower you are always an inspiration

that's awesome. It screams "AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!" Good luck on the tourney today I had to bail on it but I'll probably stop in in the afternoon to see who's winning and see if there's any BA players there and what they're running.

Maybe next time you can put the oaths on the tanks or something like that.

  • 3 weeks later...

Wow I can't believe it's been nearly a month since this post caught an update. However with the Holidays having passed us I'm sure as everyone else was, I was rather busy. Anyway I finally managed to finish my Marshal! Not gonna lie I jacked a few ideas from Titan136 as his model was just gorgeous. You will see the banner is his design along with the edging on the cloak. The helmet design was borrowed from Apoks beautifully painted terminators, another motif I have taken  So with credit given, it is now time to show off my Marshal!

Hope you guys like it as much as I do. I actually got to use this guy in a game yesterday (my first time using such an expensive independent HQ, but man was it worth it). Please leave comments, and again remember this is for TT, i'm no golden daemon painter!

It´s been a while.

The Marshal looks great. The Reference to Titan is clearly visible, but i don´t think that is bad at all, after all Titans work made me choose templars in teh first place. Yours would too.

Thank you for the compliments guys! It's always reassuring to get positive feedback from the community. I'm currently working on the Rhino that will carry my Marshal across the Table. I must say that I am very excited for the outcome as it is in my opinion turning out great! Hopefully it will be done in a few days or so and I can get some pics of it up!!

Again thank you all, your comments are whats keeping me going!

Brothers! The Rhino that will be delivering my Marshall to those who ordered death is complete! I really wanted this model to stand out, I wanted it to say "HERE I COME YOU BASTARDS!" The color scheme is slightly off of my other units, but again this is for my commander. So without further delay, I present THE rhino!

Bleached Bone! I hadn't thought of that. Excuse me while I go paint some test minis. Also, really sharp paint jobs. I love the command Rhino. The top-hatch design just oozes that corny-awesome 2nd Edition goodness, and the Marshall's reds are wonderfully clean and sharp. Keep up the good work!

Wow...I'd be stunned if that thing doesn't get shot to hell on turn 1, just for fear of what must be inside.

An excellent job man, one more reason I need to update my own Rhinos when I get back home  .

Wow guys I'm happy everyone seems to like it! Yes the design on top was free handed and I'm glad it is having such a positive effect. I'm gonna take a group shot of everything I have done together now, just so you guys can see how it all looks now. I can't wait to go to the store today and show it off! Again thanks for your comments all!
