My Newly Painted LRC (1-8-12 Additional LRCS!)

amazing! I just have nothing to say...

the only little point - why is everything called "templar"?

ok, I know why, but if you give your characters names and put these on the scrolls, it looks better, I think, it is more personal

it just doesnt feel right, when you have that stylized rhino for your marshall and just call it "templar". You could call it Siegfried, or Bohemund, Conrad, Reinhard or something like that

but as I look at the rhinos again, I think Ill call one of mines Trignama

thanks for the inspiration anyway

Again everyone thanks for the compliments! I know I keep saying it but I just wanna show how much I appreciate it.

@Matis - the reason everything is labeled templar? Iono I guess I'm just bad at naming characters and what not, and I just love my army so much I just dedicated its name on everything.

Again everyone you guys are the best! The speeders are next in line but they have to be bought 1 at a time per payday (saving some money since I have to move in a few months) so again we prolly won't see an update here for a bit... <_<

So I finally got some work done, specifically for the LPC here. These pics will be for the W.I.P. part for my completion of the vow. We are starting with the first speeder (as i have yet to buy the other 2, just doing them one at a time)

Here are some shots of it partially built and unpainted

Here are a couple pics of the driver

http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt25/Aneundorff/Driver2Unpainted.jpg

And now the gunner

http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt25/Aneundorff/GunnerUnpainted.jpg

Now since this stage I've gotten some actual painting done! Still a lot of work to do however. The weapons as of now just remain basecoated, the speeder still needs highlights and quite a bit of free hand work, plus some touchups in certain areas, however I guess thats why its called a W.I.P. ;)

Here is the speeder from the left side (Driver)

And the interior

Gonna have to say I LOVE the new kits. It was so much easier to construct! The only thing I'm concerned with is the lack of room for some freehand, but I'm sure I'll figure something out. I put it up with the rest of the armor in my list and so far the color scheme seems to fit in quite well ;)

And yes the driver does have a sword, cuz I play Templars, and I don't care if this thing is going to have TML's and a Heavy Bolter and will be sitting in back shooting all day, the sword is relevant! lol Enjoy!

Got my first of 3 land speeders finished for the LPC. C&C welcome!!

I personally like it, it fits in well with the scheme of the rest of my army. Lacking a bit in the freehand work but there isn't much room on the chassis to allow for detail. Hope you guys like it!

All your vehicles are very well-painted! And you have an excellent instinct for embellishments like templar crosses, litinaies, etc. You know where to put the designs, chooses excallent patterns, and they look great. It's more than acceptable for table-top quality!

If I had a criticism, it would be that you should start drilling out your gun barrels.

Thanks styygens, I was really worried about the BT feel of the speeder. Like I stated in the post I felt there wasn't alot of room to work on it as far as free handing goes. But as it got completed I realized it really didn't need to much as the the details in the driver/passenger really help to give it that BT feel. Thank you for your compliments though sir!

I must say, very nice modelling sir!!

Also, I quite like the look of the typhoon, you have done it justice, should have yours displayed in the local Imperium Land Speeder Dealership, would be a nice centre piece.

Keep up the fine display, I look forward to your next photos.

Brother Mitch

Thanks guys really appreciate the comments, hopefully will buying the second speeder this Saturday and with any luck it will be done within the week. Time is getting a bit crunched and I really need to get a move on! Lol.

Speeder number 2 for the L.P.C. here are the W.I.P. pics, I actually took these yesterday and forgot to post them on the forums. Since these pictures have been tanking I've gotten some painting done, still a bit of work to do however (Currently painting) so hopefully by the end of the week it will be finished. We'll see how motivated I get!

So you may be asking yourself, is that driver holding his pistol in a gangster fashion? Well my answer to you is yes, why yes he is!!!! No freehand on this model however, as the difficulty in free handing on such small surface proved overwhelming, so instead I just added an extra bit from the BT upgrade sprue. Hope you guys like it!

I am absolutely amazed at how quickly you can paint but still come up with a beautifully coherent army. Excellent work, and I particularly like the freehand on the commander's rhino. If I'd been told about it instead of seeing it, I would have thought, "No, that can't possibly work -- the colors would be wrong," but it does work -- and sets the rhino apart from the other pieces without making it lose coherency.

Nice job!

So I finally broke the camera out and decided to take some group shots of everything I have completed so far. Just wanted the rest of you guys to get to see the look/feel of the army and get an opinion. Quite a bit has gotten done since the last set of group photos, so I would guess an update is in order!

Here are shots of the armor that is so far completed

Hope to hear from you guys, as always I appreciate the C&C!!

Very nice! An enviable collection! The only thing that stands out is the blues and red attract the eye's attention to quickly, as in a bit bright and "in-your-face" so to speak. But besides that a very good job with the highlights on black and on making the vechicles unique! Congratulations brother!

:D Wow, that is a nice looking force. *shamefully look over at my pitiful force and shake my head!*

Well done with all the work you must have put into it!

If I had a cake handy, you would get a slice!

http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt25/Aneundorff/008-1.jpg

Now does anyone know if posting here is sufficient enough? Or do I need to post somewhere else on the forum to let the mods know I have completed my vow?

Decided that I would do some cross-forum exploring to cure some boredom/give me some inspiration. Came in here and WOW!!! Just an amazing looking army! I love the freehand on your commanders rhino too. Please please teach me the way of the brush?

It is always nice to drop by and see something new from you. Reminded me of Titan136 or Eberious. Very very inspiring.

Titan136 was a HUGE inspiration behind my armies theme. I feel as though my stuff doesn't nearly compare with his, that man has talent!
