Holidays are over so now hopefully things will go back to normal and I will have tome to get some stuff done again. I now have all the bikes I need for my bike list, four full squads, 5 land speeders and a commander on bike. I'm having ideas about using this list in a decently big turnament in a few months, so will most likely try to have the entire list re-done in the black scheme untill then. Cause I have been looking at converting Cold Ones to use for Space Marine 'Bikers', and that carnosaur makes a beautiful commander sized variation. I now must steal the idea for my DIY chapter's version of Kor'sarro Khan. *Runs off into the night* The only thing I disagree about is using Cold Ones for Power Armored marines, they just seem too small, like a teenager riding a tricycle. Though I'm gonna shop around for lizards/dinosaur models that will work for normal marines, since bikes are meh in my opinion. I shall post pictures when that happens, that's ta good question though, cause I need to decide if I want to spend money on 40k or another hobby that actually eats more money (believe it or not) than warhammer. And I hate decisions like that, so I'm likely to procrastinate. Asrech Posted January 12, 2011 Author Share Posted January 12, 2011 The sharp highlights are intentional, as I love neon green :P One day I might go back over and thin the highlights down as they are thick as heck in some places now. But since I have about 25.000pts to re-paint I don't feel I have the time to be TOO fanatic :P Signed up for the LPC! If you look at the pic with the bikes you'll see my pledge... 24 bikes, 3 attack bikes and 5 speeders. Only the front row of bikes are done, the rest are going to be painted in that scheme as well (meaning about half of them needs to have paint removed). Asrech Posted January 22, 2011 Author Share Posted January 22, 2011 Inspiration struck tonight and I decided to go ahead with some freehand for the first time in quite a while. So the vanguards got put aside for now. Instead, rhinos! The thought is to have two rhinos that "match" each others with a split paint scheme. One rhino has A in black and B in green, the other the opposite. The roof will have a split freehand ( a skull with a crown ). Both will have flames on the sides. This is a good indication of what I want to do to the army as I re-paint it. So now you can see more where I'm going with things. Left to do is all metal, black highlights and white details.
