Army Builder

I've used version 2.xx (a while back mind) and had no issues with the program. My only gripes came from the uploaded 40k files but these aren't created by the makers of Army Builder but a group of contributors (as far as I recall) so they are only going to be as good as the amount of effort put in by them.

 

Don't get me wrong I think they had done a great job of building up the files for 40k lists but without support they won't ever be perfect and the only company that can offer the right amount of product licensing and support is GW itself (and I can't see them being helpful in this instance!)

 

My preference though for my own lists is an excel spreadsheet that I made and the codex. My local gaming group requires us to have the codex on hand to allow others to view rules and stats when they have questions.
