Captain Darvaleth Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 When I'm trying to get a burnt effect (mostly on gun barrels) I just wash it with devlan mud twice over the whole "burnt" area, then, closer to the source of heat, use badab black washes until I get the desired effect. BROTHER UNGOLIANT Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 try forge world weathering powder theres a few methods on how to use powders but i find neat from the tub is best, and just dry brush it on ,or you can mix it with acril varnish but this is tricky another method is mixing it with blue wash dont worry the black hides all the blue, and the powder drys to an ultra matt finish. but be warned this only works if you dont handle your mini mutch no good for gameing for example or if you varnish after painting cheak out gallery my screaming hornets and see the results.
