Made a little Step by step of most of the detail as done on the terminators. and have some pictures of my soon to be done final vow unit. Here goes! Started of with a black primer and coating most of the model in Macrite red. After that step its blood red thinned with water about 1/1. keep a small line of macrite where possible. http://a.yfrog.com/img611/4583/hj2lte.jpg Next step is blazing orange, again 1/1 with water. http://a.yfrog.com/img611/8599/pjnvp.jpg Next up is Baal Red washing the entire thing. mind not to get to much on your black parts between armour plates. besides that knock yourself out. I also painted the Boltgun metal areas on this one already. forgot to take pics pre that stage. http://a.yfrog.com/img614/2945/ciqse.jpg So after the wash u can start painting the basics for the detail areas. as shown above the first one is boltgun. The next stages arent in any particulair order. Also did the base. wanted it to be dry so I could wash at the end of the night. I'd recommand doing it after finishing the reds. no chance of spilling washes. besides that it doesnt really matter when u flock it http://a.yfrog.com/img610/6753/flki.jpg Colours as followed: Crux, eagles, skulls etc: 1/1 Codex/scorched brown Areas beneath wings on shoulder pad (marble-ish areas): Charidon Granite Gold areas: Mithril silver. Skulls and parchments: Khemri Brown eyes: Snot green Then the fun part starts! Highlights. Stages are pretty simple. didnt do them all on this picture yet, but you get the general idea. http://a.yfrog.com/img618/6269/7joiy.jpg From the previous stage Crux etc: Codex grey -> Skull white (Not done on pic) Marble stuff: 1/1 charidon/deneb stone -> 1/2 Charidon/deneb -> 1/3 Charidon/deneb (Not done on pic) Gold areas: 3x Sephia wash (Not done on pic) -> Highlight Mithril silver eyes: Highlight goblin green -> 1 skull white dot finished that? I'll obviously keep this thread running whenever I finish projects. I didnt notice because I painted the figure independently from the backpack. it kind of annoys me, but it doesnt really take away from the model to much. what do you think. bend it abit? should be able 2.
