Warsmith Aznable
So what's the consensus on this novel? Read it if you are a hardcore Chaos fan? Basically. It's the only one of Zou's books I own, and I bought it on the strength that it revolved around Chaos. It didn't disappoint me in that regard. I second this. It wasn't the best BL I've read so far, but I enjoyed it. Why I enjoyed it was the portrayal of the Blood Gorgons. They are an interesting bunch in how they think and act. The characters themselves weren't nearly as interesting as other books I've read, but their actions reveal and highlight the character of the Gorgons as a whole. As a one-off experience it's worth a read if for nothing but the interesting renegade chapter stuff. They aren't slavering maniacs or Snidely Whiplash villains, and they aren't tragic and angsty. They are simply wild and free, brutal but steeped in tradition, and the book is about an instance where the chapter struggles internally with this and the impulse of some members to be something more. That alone made the book worth it to me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222431-blood-gorgons/page/4/#findComment-2907924 Share on other sites
