The legion heavily incorporated " honor duels " a tradition from Terra. they self inflicted pain on themselves with the "pain glove". They fortified the imperial palace. From the HH book Mechanicum. Two imperial fist strike forces hit mars. All veteran companies. One lead by Gamba- Diaz and Sigmund. They had imperial guard bulking out the forces. There's alot written about the assault Gamba did on chromes forge. Except it was bloody, and they lost alot of battle brothers. Gambas force took over the forge but couldnt hold it for long.
