Painting Scrolls

Just wondering how people go about painting there scrolls what basecoat you use under bleached bone??

for me the basecoat is bleached bone

wash of gryphonne sepia

than highlight with bleached bone

 

generally the easy way and the end result is quite nice.

i do i pretty much like shotbreak but i use dheneb stone (foundation) instead of b bone.

Basically if it isn't something that isn't a step by step instruction it shouldn't be in here!

Well, what I do is (assuming a black undercoat) start with a brown like bestial brown or scorched earth, sometimes drybrush commando khaki over that, drybrush bleached bone, then highlight with either skull white or a 50:50 mix of skull white & bone.

 

Basically the same way of doing skull/bone & (white) cloth.

I use a basecoat of bestial brown, go over that with bleached bone, then highlight the extremes with ivory.

For me its Black Undercoat followed by a Bestial Brown then elf Flesh highlighted with Bleached bone or Bleached bone then Elf flesh depending on what I fancy at the time.
