How did I even miss this thread?! This is pure awesomness all over, you make the most awesomness minis ever made for the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy. Keep them coming brother Dargor! I want to see more!

Thanks for the comments all. Here's a Sons of Horus Cataphractii I finished.

Cheers! :)

That guy does look awesome! I swear people like you, The damned artificer and Brother Duncs do a far better job of advertising for the different armour marks and heresy era stuff then Forge world themselves do. If only the Cataphractii had an option to come with with non chain power axes, and were not so expensive, but they do look as good as the tartaros terminators easily.

Can't wait to see a whole squad of those guys.

How did you paint that Black and gold? I would like to really know since I'm trying to get that effect for my chapter and I believe your models look great so far! Keeo us up to date on your pre heresy marines brother!

EDIT: Are you also able to update the colour scheme for the Sons of Horus and Night Lords? Since some of the colours are outdated and I'm not able to purchase them anymore :/ . A tutorial if possible would be nice too for the new colours scheme, alot to ask I know but I merely seek to improve my painting skills as best as possible

I love you, I hate you, I love you, I hate you, I love you, yes definitely I love you.

Anyway....... This stuff keeps getting better and better. The red/turquoise contrast on that terminator is top drawer. As for the Blood Angel he rocks. There is something so right about Blood Angels in MKIV I don't know why.

Great stuff

I'm speechless to be honest. I missed your last few updates but now I've seen them they're worth the wait. Really really like the terminator a lot. I'm hoping for about 20 of them at Christmas but I'm not sure I'll manage as good a job as that.

You are incredible at this stuff, many have said it over the duration of this thread, and I hope you're not done!

I've tried to scour all the posts for details but I haven't seen anything about it, but how on earth did you make the bloody gore on the world eaters so realistic? Punch yourself on the nose and bleed on them?? xD

The new Blood Angel was undercoated with Army Painter's Pure Red and then was overbrushed with thinned Mephiston Red. Highlights were added with a mix of the old Dwarf Flesh/Blood Red/White in a 40/40/20 % ratio (I have a pot already mixed for that). A couple of washes with Bloodletter and then shade the recesses with Carroburg Crimson.

The gore is a mix of Carroburg Crimson, Agrax Earthshade and Nuln Oil about 4/1/1. Then, after the model is sealed with matt varnish, I go over the "splat" areas with gloss varnish.

Hope this helps a bit.

Cheers!
