Placing the Hurricanes at a StormRaven?

Spent some time to un-chibi the StormRaven.

Now, this hopefully improved transport should have a pair of hurricanes.

 

Place them before the side hatches?

Place them under the wings?

Which config should it be?

- aircraft style ( under wings )

- heli style ( wings and forward )

First of all, do you have any Land Raiders? I know this is an odd question, but I think that if you have placed the Land Raider sponsons in the front slot, then you should do the same for the StormRaven (and vice versa) to maintain a sense of continuity.

 

That said, at this point I am leaning more towards this positioning:

Finally, I think that you should take a couple pictures of the StormRaven so that they show all three major aspects of the StormRaven at once (so the picture shows the top, side, and front, for example). One example is the main picture that GW has for their Stormraven. This will show your conversion better, and it will help us get a feel for which sponson option would look best.

This idea of a general style across an army is good, but there is a problem called "its more than a few Land Raiders" and I

didn't keep the config the same....

 

The StormRaven is intended to look less helicopter like and more aircraft/spaceship design.

Weapons at the nose, wings and maybe old bomber style cupola at the back seems a possibility to me.

But, I see the issue of weapon range if put backwards, too.

As this will be a "squadron" of 3, I'd be able to do different loadouts but I think the place at the forward "thrusters" is

essential for the design and I do not want to ruin it.

I place mine on each side of the assault ramp in the front where the Lights go.

yeah didn't like the fact that they blocked the doors so yeah looks better IMO.

Actually made the decision to go with the Sponsons under the wings.

Still WIP and lacking cockpit/turret. I am building the 2nd SR body yet and paint both later.
