mughi3 Posted April 11, 2011 Share Posted April 11, 2011 We did a little local RTT style game this weekend .2K points .3 games There were 5 randome missions so nobody was guarantyeed to be playing the same thing at each table. the guy running the event had door prizes as well as best general, best painted and best sport. To respect the fact different players get enjoyment form different parts of the game. all 3 prizes were co-equal store credit. It was a big bug list and it marched across the table. at first i thought he was going to roll me when i had a turn of nothing coming in from reserve and horrible shooting. my ironclads finally arrived and locked him down while my scouts zippedin behind him in their storms and stole objects and the game. I mananged to lock down all his vehicles with immobilised results and then went about killing the thin skinned units. again the first couple turns he shot the hell out of me but through a combination of equipment and poor dice rolls he could not stop my dreads(especially my ironclads). the game ended with me loosing 3 KPs and him loosing 7 Crushing victory http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/RTo41011.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/RTp41011.jpg Game 3 I went againt a mostly reserve outflanking tau list. We had 5 objectives and table quarters. this is the game my dice went cold. my dreads didn't want to come in(most till turn 5) and my scouts did. the person i ended up playing was sadly the one person i hoped i did not have to play. From past experience he was a known cheater and generally not a fun opponant. right off the bat he tried to argue terrain to his favor and we had several rules issues(we were both wrong on several of the debates and had to call in a judge). Since he hardly gets into CC i rarely use it, it was just extra points i had to spend in a variation of my list.
