Primer question

So got some minis that happen to have already been covered in black primer. I prefer white and was wondering if it would be alright to just put a coat of white primer on top of the black and get similar results had it just been white primed. Or is my attempt to be lazy and not strip it down to the plastic going to bite me in the ass when I go to paint?

Try a couple quick, light dustings of white primer from the top. Not full-coverage, just a quick snow. You want some black showing from the bottom. This is often used as a method to establish zenithal highlighting.

If its just black primer you have two options

1, Dump into Dettol(UK), pinesol/simple green (USA) to strip,

2, give a light dusting from the side (ie face on ) of gray primer then top down with white prime (PP calls this under painting) the using thin layers paint the colours over the top.
