Dark Angels are more courageous than Grey Knights

Recommended Posts

I found the change from Fearless to ATSKNF to be odd for Grey Knights. One would think that a force dedicated to the fighting of daemons would be Fearless.

Now if only we could get 2 wound terminators only let ours have storm shields, then we could reclaim our rightful place as the premiere terminator fighting force in the galaxy.

In conclusion, The Lion's bloodline ROCKS!

Except for that whole 'half the legion going traitor' thing :)

I believe the sentiment voiced in Purging of Kaladus is something like "Only a chapter that came so close to turning traitor can know the true value of loyalty"

Kind of like how only a slave can know freedom?

Funny how people keep saying 1/2 the DA chapter turned traitor. Easy to say that when the Primarch wasn't around when it happened. Everyone was fallowing Luther who was on the planet (be it Calbinites or Earth Humans) so they were doing what thier leader told them too. How many of those DA were really following Choas? How many of them were only fallowing thier orders as they were trained to do?

So if they were following orders have they really turned to Chaos? Just like when you are in the army, are you really evil for following orders?

So it is not like by choice they really turned to Chaos but tricked into it. I am sure alot of them refused to do it.

Well of course were more courageous, however...

All Marines are technically fearless in fluff, hence ATSNKF.

But, talking game mechanics, I can almost see the Fearless USR as being an over the top form of stubborn. So maybe it's just a bad name for that USR.

The Grey Knights, like many other Marines - even our own, fall back to regroup and fight again for a tactical reasons - not out of fear - whereas our Deathwing and commanders stubbornly refuse to and rightly so (of course C:SM can choose to fall back, taking it a step further).

Where the Sons of Guilliman, and those that ascribe to such teachings, are tactically flexible in the field, the Sons of the Lion focus on the overall strategy and big picture, and falling back is not in that battle plan for our most hardened units. They are certainly taking the field in the most dire of situations anyway, when falling back is not an option to begin with.

Yet obviously there is no need to fall back when we have have already implemented the winning game plan.

having served in the army, your superior officers would prefer you to have a mind of your own and if something is wrong to voice your concerns and if necessary refuse to do it.

i would like to think that although marines are trained to follow orders that they would still know the difference from right and wrong and would stand up for justice in the name of the lion and the emperor

grudges over something that you say happened when no records show it?

Keep in mind, we have an endless crusade against the enemies of the Emperor, and we have had no Space Marines turn renegade ;)

Actually since the creation of the Black Templars, neither have the DA. That other stuff is just rumors. ;)
