Heh, mine aren't painted up to the standards set by other people on this forum. I'm much too bad to dare post anything yet. Their fluff is kinda lacking, I really chose them for the color scheme. It's simple, it's dark, it's easy to paint, and something other than green and bone color.

Please do not feel that way. That is the last thing this board wishes to propagate. We want to see everyone's work, regardless of how badly you painted it or modelled. We all learn from each other and the first step to learning is to share your work with others. You'd be suprrised how often others could learn from you....

so...post up your models! :D

People saying something like that tempts me to post up my painted models now. Am I proud of them? Sure, I think I did a halfway decent job for only starting this two months ago. But they look awful in comparison to some of the stuff I've seen, both in person and online. The first time I brought a 750-point version of my list to a game at my local store, the best I got was being told my models looked very clean.

And now to keep this post on-topic, I'll comment here and now that the Dark Angels officially have the coolest color schemes of any successor chapters, with Guardians of the Covenant and Disciples of Caliban topping the list. Honestly, if I were to ever deploy any power-armored marines, I'd paint them with the Disciples colors and say that the Deathwing and Ravenwing are being supported by their successors.

Heh, I've had a few pictures taken of them for a while, but I really wanted to try with a different camera at some point. I suppose I could post up some of my better painted models like my Venerable Dreadnought, some of my more recently painted terminators, and my robed marines though. ^_^

I haven't drilled out the bolters yet as I need a new bit. I might have to leave the unsightly mould lines as I fear to redo the metal bits over again. (The paint wash really brought them out) :)

Anywho, tried a new technique for both the red and the silver. I like how they turned out. I plan to use the red on the Fallen Berserkers already.

Grand Master Belial, I think those look great! As far as the mold lines, unless you want to enter them for a Golden Demon, I say leave 'em, only a couple of them are noticeable, and probably aren't even that while playing.

I am building a Deathwing of the GotC, called the Hunter Clan. It will be the full company, so 100 terminators. 50 of those i will buy twice to be able playing them with thunderhammer + stormshield or the standard way. So I will simply buy the close combat terminators (hope that this was the English term for those with thunderhammers and those with claws). I might also build a battle company, all models in robes, because I need the terminator equiment from the Veteran sprue.

so far,

Master Barachiel

I love your red. How did you get it?

I use Vallejo Model Colors for the red. From my recipe book:

VMC 035 Cadmium Maroon was the base

VMC 033 Red was the Main coat

1:1 mix of VMC 033 & VMC 031 Flat Red stippled highlight to finish the colors.

I'll need to apply a flat coat as the robes are glossy. My only current beef with Vallejo paints. Sometimes they are glossy and other times they are flat or in-between. Oh well ...
