stuka06
Time to get something started for myself in here. I know I won't have a lot of time so updates will not be frequently. But I did take the time to paint a Ravenwing Attack bike http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/RWAttackbike001.png http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/RWAttackbike002.png The Weapons were painted too, but I still have to start messing around with magnets, since I want to design my future models to be more modular. Which is something haven't done at all with these six. Right now I play my Dark Angels as C:SM Marines, since I don't have the Terminators yet to play a proper DA army. May the Lion forgive me. I still need to do some stuffing on the arms on a couple of those and I am still pondering if I should paint the robes white or beige. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/Sternguard001.png http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/Sternguard002.png http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/Sternguard003.png http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/Sternguard004.png http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/Sternguard005.png http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/stuka06/Sternguard006.png Music of the Moment: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/ Share on other sites
Grimdarkness
looking good as for the robes beige would make sense fluff wise. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2805666 Share on other sites

stuka06
@ Ozzy: Wow, I took my sweet time to reply... I built the Combi Meltas out of the combi plasmas from the SM Commander sprue. Simply cut of the muzzle and replace it with one from a regular ol' melta I am working under a lot of preassure since I want to finish this guy ASAP. Giving a friend of mine the Great Wolf for Christmas http://i.imgur.com/HQuqc.jpg http://i.imgur.com/MQx13.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Z43Sw.jpg One of my problems is, that a lot of the colors i am using are basicly rubbish, since they are a couple of years old and quite dry. Waiting for my mail order of colours. I hope they arrive tomorrow... stuka06
What? No love for the great Wolf? I just tried out my first Free Hand on a miniature this size. Olis
Freehand. Cool. The previous pic with the crazy eye is hilarious (you should've kept it), it makes him look suitably mental. stuka06
@Olisredan: Yeah Yeah who cares about freehands? More crazy Marines... I finished some additional stuff including the base. Still haven't received my shipment of paints... http://i.imgur.com/jP9Mr.png http://i.imgur.com/VKzv6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/KKfvQ.png http://i.imgur.com/aX6Kq.png http://i.imgur.com/JS5Ed.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2950259 Share on other sites
stuka06
Just finished some regular ol' Marines that were half way done. Nothing special about them, just trying to amass some tacticals http://i.imgur.com/LiQ1E.png http://i.imgur.com/Lu3xd.png Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2951143 Share on other sites
stuka06
Finally done with Logan Grimnar. Had to get it done today. Couldn't wait on the paints. Hampered with my ability to do it the way wanted to. http://i.imgur.com/aRSES.png http://i.imgur.com/fPssh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Xaqyw.png http://i.imgur.com/XcXkV.png Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2951862 Share on other sites
Kassill
Grimnar looks great! Lets see a shot of him taking on the boys in dresses! stuka06
By the Lion. The noble, knight like Dark Angels will surely defeat these savage animals.... XD On the other hand, Logan Grimnar looks better than any Dark Angels I have. With my Asmodeus conversion being the only fully painted HQ I have. I'll have to get back to finishing my Terminator Chaplain Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2952586 Share on other sites
stuka06
Worked on my first Deathwing Terminators yesterday. Took some advise from Ferrus Manus' guide on painting Storm Ghosts. But sinse I didn't have any of the colors he used for the washing, I had to improvise. I painted the TH wielding Terminator first. For the wash I used Flesh Wash and added a drip of Bestial Brown (so it would be matt). For the one on the left with the TLC, I washed to model using Devlan Mud with a drip of Scroched Brown. I like the second one better and will stick to that tactic in the future. http://i.imgur.com/QgkDP.jpg I will continue working on my vow and post updates in my other topic. stuka06
I finished one of the Terminators. I like the result, even if it was more about actually painting a Terminator. I know power armours. Terminator armours, not so much. http://i.imgur.com/UH3jf.jpg http://i.imgur.com/epT2W.jpg http://i.imgur.com/xEPde.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2967071 Share on other sites

stuka06
@kanan: Thanks man. I really want to get some stuff done these coming months, so I might actually be updating this topic :o I finished an old chaplain I habd lying around. He was basicly done only missing his backpack. I decided to repaint the armour after I saw the horrid highlights... So I used the saturday NFL playoff games to finish him up. http://i.imgur.com/OY5rz.jpg Music of the Moment: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2970375 Share on other sites
stuka06
So, I never bought many Tanks. I have 2 Razorbacks from the Space Marine Army Deal and 2 Predators, only one of which I bought as a single miniature. But I do still have an old Rhino which I bought for my Black Legion. That was right around the time the current chasis came out. That was also around the time I started playing. And I sucked at painting back then... and as it turns out, at building the models too. I had to make the Chaos conversion myself and now I want to repurpose this tank for my current army. I am starting out with this model: http://i.imgur.com/tNNuW.jpg I will go for an frontmounted assault ramp as seen here:# http://i.imgur.com/WcVVe.jpg After playing around with the model, it quickly became apparent, that I really sucked at using glue. At this point I was able to disassemble the tank to this kind of mess: http://i.imgur.com/VxWBKh.jpg I ordered plasticard and will be messing around for the first time, probably this weekend. I will post further results. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2976266 Share on other sites
Razblood
Some nice stuff going on here  One minor gripe though, on your company vets it seems to me that you may have the Pauldrons (Shoulder Pads) the wrong way round. Chapter badge is usually on the left Pauldron and Squad markings on the right, however they are your models and they do look very good  Keep it up :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2976468 Share on other sites

Grotsmasha
Hey man, nice looking Angels. Excuse my fluff nazi coming to the fore but.......power armoured DA vets don't bear the Crux Terminus as other Chapters do, it's because they're company vets rather than 1st Co vets. Cheers, Jono I started with the 3rd Edition Dark Angels Codex. In it, Veteren Seargents were equiped with a Crux Terminatus. That's where I got the idea of equiping the Veterans with these shoulder pads. stuka06
After finishing my vow, I can return to the rest of my army and other projects. One of which I won't post here, because it's Xenos filth I'm painting for a friend. Since I have been collecting and painting Warhammer for quite some time now, there is stuff lying around that I bought but may never have used or finished. Like this can. Never used it... http://i.imgur.com/qKbWV.jpg First Thing I will use it on? An old Droppod I built at my local GW store a good 6 or 7 years back. At that time there weren't any droppod models except for the FW ones. So this is build out or plasticard and stuff. Thinking about adding a bottle cap or stomething as the engine. http://i.imgur.com/bpIOm.jpg Next up are Marines in different stages of painting. I had to touch up the backpack on the Marine with the Flamer and the left Melta Marine was painted and then I added the arms. The right Melta Marine was a salvaging project. I don't even know what I intended for him to carry, but without the arms it just looked awkward. http://i.imgur.com/KCq1V.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Nl13t.jpg Music of the Moment: Darkness Within - Machine Head Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-2985413 Share on other sites
stuka06
So, I started way too late and now I actually have to hurry up to finish my vow. I vowed to finish my Terminator Chaplian, my Terminator squad and to repaint my Land Raider. So I started out with this: http://i.imgur.com/P3Osz.jpg I have to get some stuff to strip the LR, so I started with the Terminators This is an early WIP http://i.imgur.com/MuVAW.jpg Song of the Moment: Professional Griefers - Deadmau5 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233134-my-own-little-corner-of-angels/#findComment-3141061 Share on other sites
