We both changed our lists up a bit. he still had his vindies stern/vanguards but opted for a libby and dread insted of a command squad. My list went entirely badab war. HQ .MOTF-PW .brey'arth ashmantle Troops .5 man tac squad-melta bomb .dread talon X3 ironclads Elites .X3 venerable las/missile dreads Heavy .land raider achillies w/siege shield. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/siegeII.jpg Suprisingly this game ended up being about LD checks and not much about killing. We had 3 objectives and DOW deployment. i won the turn for 1st. I deployed brey'arth and the ironclad unit on the 24" line He deployed a troop with rhino and his master on the table. Everything else rolled on from my side. i really didn't have much to shoot. bray'arth managed to light up the tac squad and the acilkies opened up in it scoring a few kills but failing to make them run. HIs units came in, and he lit up brey'arth and managed to remove and arm. Now with night fight over i moved up and blew away a rhino with HKs off an ironclad, the sterns inside failed their LD check and were pinned. My las dreads blew the gun off one vindie while i stunned a second. The achillies gto a solid hit on the tac squad doing 17 out fo 20 wounds(hit with all 4 templates) whioing most of the squad and frocing them to flee, breyarth was unhappy as he was about to assault them. my ironclads moved up on the sterns one getting good flamer hits on the packed group. they also failed their LD check and fled off the table. i tinked the gunless vindicatro again and immobilised it and blew up a second vidie with my las dreads as well. This turn (3) he brought in his sterns who engead an ironclad, even with 2 fists they stayed there the entire game slowly tearing away at the dread. His last vindie nailed breay'arth and missed. while his libby shot and then assaulted the ironclad on his table side (my right) he took a single DCCW hit and failed his invul. Brey'arth walked up and punched the survuivng vindicator and destroyed it. he got assaulted by the enemy dread and lost his other arm while destroying it. He was down to one tac squad annd 5 vanguard. brey'arth went after the tacs and i threw another ironclad at teh vnaguards(they all had storm shields. I had a whole lot of bad dice rolls and took some good damage on the dreads. both being immobilised and/or weapon destroyed. breyarth did better, winning combat by 2 (hull flamers for the win) and yet again the tac squad failed a LD check, he though i would chase them but being only 4" or so from the table edge i just let them run away. The achillies with the tacs and MOTF inside with nothing to do, moved up to take a single objective. with my dreads in his face the achiliies really didn't do much this game it wasn't even shot at and only fired mabey 3 times. but i do love the TF cannon. The last turn of the game the vanguard finally kill a single ironclad and the game ends with a single dread lost on my side and 4 vanguard on the table on his side.
