macewind Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 Hi guys, My first proper post here so be gentle lol. I built this army about a year ago for a campaign weekend. Trouble is I spent so much time building and converting things that I was only left with a month to paint just over 3000 points worth of models so the paint scheme suffered for it :( Still, there is one or two things im pretty proud of. Horus came out well, even if his paintjob didnt, the terminators and dreadnought are also some of my favourite models, and im really proud of the freehand banner, even if it did take me a full week to get right! Brother Ambroz Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 You can add more in a reply I believe. I like them all, I wish I had talent like that for creating things without even buying the box. My only gripe is Horus' armament, I know he didn't have a plasma pistol but what was he armed with other than his lighning claw? macewind Posted July 21, 2011 Author Share Posted July 21, 2011 Thanks for the comments :) I know he had a set of lightning claws, and I think the mace was a secondary weapon after he gave one to Abaddon, im not sure. For the campaign weekend he had a plasmapistol, lightning claw that re rolled to hit and wound and stormbolter. Thats why my model has the PP. (Not Abaddon) It has chainmail on inbetween the legs by the way :lol: They just look darn good so id like to use them myself. Your models look fantastic, well done. macewind Posted July 21, 2011 Author Share Posted July 21, 2011 Thanks for the complements, they are actually warriors of chaos fantasy legs. You have to cut the body off them and use a bit of greenstuff to make them fit, but as long as your not doing the full army with them, they are worth the hassel! Thanks for the compliments, that dread is one of my favourite models in my vast collection now! And as for the helms, im not 100% sure now, but they are metal, and I think they come from the old chaos models. I think I got them in a trade with someone, maybe someone else can help identify them?
