Hello there,

I have begun designing an Emperor Warmonger Titan for a customer which I will begin building on tuesday.

The design is based on this model.

The weapon loadout will be Vengeance cannon, Hellstorm Cannon, 4 Laser Blasers, Volcano Cannon and Quake Cannon.

And here is the link with the 3d model fly-around movie

The construction is going to be mainly extruded polysterene parts cut with CnC hot wire and foamboard.

The customer also requests working lights which will be fun working with.

C&C welcome!

Sounds like a fun project, i look forward to the WIPs.

If you're doing away with its leg doors I'd consider getting rid of the stairs on the feet along with them; it not like they're needed anymore - the reference model has them because it's based off of the imperator model, but if you're building up from scratch there's no such restriction.

Well the problem is that there only exists an official Imperator Datasheet so although the titan is a Warmonger it will actually be used as an imperator with normal transport capacity. I will add Air lock doors on each side of the feet.

At the momment I am a bit concerned with how the model will balance.

I also had an idea for a Golden emperor titan, matching the Adeptus Custodes probably?

Anyway here is the new concept flyaround.

And here is the head concept

I really hope you complete this WIP since it looks promising.

I have to :)

Im getting paid for this and the bills are gaining on me <_<

@ Vaaish : I would really appreciate if you could give me the rear view of the model. I cant seem to find it anywhere and am just reconstructing it from pure imagination B)

I completed the paths for all the polysteren parts , minus the weapons and arms.

The following paths are for the feet, legs, pelvis and most parts of the torso.

Tommorrow will be a trip to the machine shop to get all these parts cut. After I shake off the dizziness from a day's work

among poisonous fumes Ill start assembling the thing and bring you more pics :D

I got back today with 2 huge bags full of Emperor Titan parts and started the assembly - it is going to take a while.

Here is the WIP on the feet.

I put my Warlord next to the Emperor feet for size comparison.

The current design Im working on will give me an Emperor 36" tall

Tommorrow Ill probably have the rest of the legs up to the pelvis complete.

Well unfortunately it seems that the shoulder area is slightly smaller than it should. I will make one of the correct size probably tommorrow.

So far the build seems great. I actually put a 5kg weight on top of it and it held well. Offcourse I didnt trust it long enough to take a picture of it ;).

I tried a larger thigh armour plate on the left leg which I think makes the entire leg look kind of right (the thigh plate is actually a reject lower leg plating from a Warlord Titan).

The back is going to accomodate the batteries and wiring for the LED lights.

At the momment I am not sure what to do on the back of the feet to allow models to safely move off the Titan. Any ideas? I'd rather not make a ladder of any kind.

Ignore the wooden dowel running down from his groin - I just couldnt be asked to saw it off at this time of night.

You're running some sort of CNC hot wire setup. The models themselves (sorry) could be better in terms of proportion and pose, but I'm damn impressed by the production method.

Edit: I do note your models get better with each revision, I'm not digging, just pointing out you can improve... :-)

Ok, I shortened the thighs and the model came far closer to the original model. It also came closer to the 35-36 inches target height.

I still need to make the plateau on the shoulder a bit larger so it can accomodate the weapon hard points without them touching the legs.

I also adjusted the legs to create a subtle walking pose - didnt want to unbalance the model in any way.

The small legs are from another WIP warlord titan.

C&C always welcome!

I'm not going to lie... this project actually turns me on in a hobby sort of way... not sure if you get that... er... ANYWAY, I am left actually wanting one of those and honestly I was sat here at the start feeling very cynical about this project and now feel rather foolish.. Really awesome work, that foam put together looks like it has come leaps and bounds from the first one!.. PM me the price?
