A couple of wooden dowels held the arms in place nicely and hopefully they will not budge once the weapons are inserted. I have yet to cover up some holes with putty and make the slots for the weapons. After I tested the model it seems that it starts to become heavy towards the front. I will have to add a couple of weights on the baack of the plateau to make sure the model stays nice and balanced. At least the torso now rotates nicely. That sounds suspiciously like an Angry Marines Emperor ^_^ I have some progress at last. A plastic coffee cup made the base for the head (like all my titan heads - cafeine ftw). We've suffered some damage on the hotwire cnc machine which put me back a couple of weeks. Almost everything is in place now. The back will be kept open until I install the LED's. There will be 4 red lights in the interior to allow some light to shoot through the holes in various areas of the hull, plus 4 blue lights around the arm hardpoints. I also have some more putty work to do, to cover up seams as well as finish off the laser blasters. I dissasembled the thing to give me an idea how to pack it. Long answer short - Im gonna need a big arse crate! The Hellstorm cannon and the Vengeance cannon are being constructed as I write this post so I should soon have more progress. Khargan pointed out correctly that the thighs are too far appart. Next Emperor Im making will be around 3-4 inches narrower in the distance between the thighs. The balance of the model actually gave up on me near the end with a catastrophic (and not to mention disheartening) but yet glorious(!) fall of the emperor on my poor Stompa. Although I cant tell if my cat had anything to do with it - he does like to rub himself on anything around the house including my warlord titans which he has toppled on several occasions - the leg and knee position has made the Titan quite heavy on the front. The next one will have a pose far closer to the original reference model (bent knees that is). Thats it for now. As already mentioned - C&C welcome!
