Alternative MK2 and MK3 backpacks

Thought I might share the backpacks I created for MK2 andMK3 as I did not really like the massive hump sticking out above the head.

 

 

1) Cutting the pieces

Take a plastic backpack and cut the vents of the sides and then the lower portion of the backpack.

Then take the Forgeworld MK2/3 backpack and carefully cut the vents of, then by using a saw cut from the front of the backpack (part that connects to marine)untill you reach the hoses.

Then taking a sharp scalpel and seperate the hoses from the topside and then cut the back of backpack further in half untill you have what shown in the foto.

2) Glue together untill looks like the foto and add some rivets to and two discs to the vents

3) Finished and on marine

resurrecting this a bit but i need to add that you can also use some of the older chaos backpacks as well if you do not want to cut up your forge world packs....will do one and take pics when i have more time....maybe later today
