Astartes Lenses

Recommended Posts

From personal opinion it looks better if the eyecolor is different from both your main and your trim color. I have Black marines with red trims and settled on blue lenses after starting out with red ones, because it doesn't just blend in as another piece of trim.

I say it depends on the helmet colors. My guys have red lenses, for example, with their black helmets. Although I could also give them yellow or green lenses if I want. I guess it depends on preference, or heck, you could assign it by squad.

Gold is probably the best color. Like shooting glasses or an astronauts visor. Nothing like a thin coating of radiation resistance. But then I also think "Void Hardened Armor" should be white.

I also think each squad should be full of specialists and the company could do with being a bit more professional and organized. Clearly I'm insane.

Sergeant (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet, and Bolt Pistol and marked with the Iron Skull and red helmet markings)

Team Leader (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet and a Bolt Pistol)

Marksman (Armed with a Stalker Boltgun and Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife)

Communications Man (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet and Bolt Pistol)

Special Weapons Specialist (Armed with a Flamer and Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife)

Heavy Weapons Specialist (Armed with a Missile Launcher, Bolt Pistol, and Combat Knife)

Combat Medic (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet and Bolt Pistol as well as a bit of kit for Medic stuff)

Rifleman (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet and Bolt Pistol)

Rifleman (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet and Bolt Pistol)

Rifleman (Armed with a Bolter and Chain Bayonet and Bolt Pistol)

Transport Driver (Armed with a Bolt Pistol and stowed Bolter)

Transport Gunner (Armed with a Bolt Pistol and stowed Bolter and the Pintle Stormbolter)

Then have a Veteran Sergeant for every two squads marked out with his Crux Terminatus and Iron Skull. 3 Tactical Vet Sergeants, 1 Devastator, 1 Assault Specialist. Then the Captain has a full Apothecary, the Company Level Veteran Sergeant, Senior Comms Man (Company Standard Bearer), Weapons Specialist, and the Company Champion is his Body Guard. Then he has his Driver, his Razorback Main Gunner, and the Tank Commander/ Psycho manning the Stormbolter...

That formation I think would work well. Very off topic but I'm a wildcard on the best of days.
