Bingo!

Onyxius wins!

PM me with your request or state it here in the thread, your choice, mate.

Oh, good god... I discarded that one earlier!

Edit - Ignore me! Onyxius has been unexpectedly kind. I'll let you lot find out what it'll be later.

Am I to assume Onyxius gave you his request? That's mighty awesome, Onyxius =) Eagerly awaiting, mate.

Actually, he's sharing it. And I'm dead chuffed at that. We've been working on something recently and this'll be a nice illustration of a key moment. :tu:

Ladies and gents...an old man in an old armour

"Endurance is all we have left. To steel ourselves and let Horus' venomous blade shatter against our righteousness. No more shock. No more mourning. No point in contemplating the future of the Imperium. The only difference between the traitorous lot that's coming for us and the next Ork invasion is that we know them. As far as I am concerned, that is an advantage."

Pramus Kholosk, The Castle, Sergeant of the Munchaust Squad

A Terran-born warrior from before the Emperor reunited with Rogal Dorn, Kholosk survived the Heresy, finally meeting his end at the very beginning of the Great Scouring, when he seemingly went berzerk during the boarding of the Iron Warriors' cruiser "Ferrus Candent". Though a cruel blow for the Legion, many saw the old veteran's reckless behaviour as liberating and natural, Kholosk having gone through the events of the Heresy with a stone-hard calm that was unsettling for all but the fire-and-ice collective mindset of the Imperial Fists.

Pramus Kholosk's most distinctive feature was his choice of Armour, the MKI Terminator Armour, of which he was one of the very few to sport, among Legionnaires. Though incredibly durable and providing immense strength to its wearer, MkI Tactical Dreadnought Armour (actually never having gone past 'Prototype' status) was extremely unwieldy and presented serious visibility issues. This made it almost prohibitive for boarding actions, but Rogal Dorn, appreciating Kholosk's valuing of his relic wargear, created the concept of boarding squads specialized in creating bulkwarks inside enemy ships. Over time, Pramus Kholosk became a legend among those Astartes companies and squads dedicated to void warfare.

I have a pair of drawings before getting back to the Heresy. When we return, though, Blood Angels will be next.

Cheers, everyone.

oh my freaking god. that looks amazing! i really love the changes you have made to make it look more badass (it sorta have that contempter look/feel about it, and i love the contemptor dreads)... also it helps very much that ive allways had great interest in that particular armor, so seeing it reimagined this well is just wonderfull!

So, Olisredan and Chapter Master Onyxius made a joint request. They provided me with a very detailed account of a battle between two Captains of the Imperial Fists and World Eaters. Said account mentioned armour marks, armament, and even fighting scenes.

By far the hardest parts were to convery a sense of motion to the Marines (I have to perfect my drawing style, sick of me little Astartes looking so stiff) and the thrice-damned power talon...there's a reason I draw those things seen from the back.

Also, Imperial Fists are kind of hard to draw...not only are they somewhat "conventional" in their armour-déco (as are the Ultramarines), their symbol is a pain in the arse to reproduce and doesn't stick in every crevasse like the inverted Omega.

Cheers, everyone, I'm now entering a new phase. The Heresy Champions will be slowed down since I'm producing a portfolio with examples from various races of the 40K universe (not all of them, I just need to show I can draw skinny armour, muscles, beasts, etc.) so I'm not confined to Power Armour. First one up is a daemon, so I'll be able to show it to you guys. I'll try to sneak some marines in-between so I'm not too absent.

Cheers, everyone. Thanks once again.
