Doghouse
This is a log of Inquisitional stuff that I have been playing around at the moment, hopefully for use in the INQuivitational event being held at WHW world next year. In short it's the brainchild of Commissar Molotov where a bunch of fans of the game Inquisitor will be gathering to decide the leadership of the Helios Cabal after the death of it's master. For more details you can check out his blog here: INQ28 What I'm doing is putting together a whole bunch of models that I will eventually using to select my final six models for the event and putting together a small 2x2 gaming board. Inquistor Stefan Serrano The idea is going to be that the first Inquisitor uses various agents and contacts at different points depending on what the mission demands. What I'm going to do is have the guise that the Inquisitor adopts most is that of a gene-enhanced body guard to the rich and influential members of the Imperial nobility. A mono syllabic monster that mainly nods or grunts occasionally. Serrano is by no means an ordinary agent of the Imperium, towering over most men and so this deception allows him to go about his work with attracting attention to himself. At any one time he can call upon various agents but for the Succession he will be gathering the cream of his associates to influence the outcome of the event. I have a couple of back stories for him, but will probably have him being a human that has augmented his body over the years to the point where he verging on being the equal of an Astartes. The second idea was that he is a former Astartes that has suffered terrible wounds during his time as a member of the Death Watch and can no-longer interface with power armour so now works as an agent of the Inquisition. The model is WIP at the moment but he's slowly taking shape. I'm currently working in some bionics and the RT style bionic leg is slowly taking shape but still needs a heck of a lot of clean up work. http://i56.tinypic.com/oumc85.jpg Edran Tanner One of the many body guard roles that Serrano adopts is one of a bodyguard to a former high ranking general of the Mordian Iron Guard. is in fact a former convict that the Inquisitor rescued during the invasion of St Josmane's Hope. A former guardsman Edran Tanner was a notorious conman and forger of documents until he was caught trying to liberate a crate of luxury lo sticks from an officer's tent and after narrowly escaping execution at the hands of a Commissar was sent to the prison planet for his trouble. Inquisitor Stefan Serrano had been working under cover trying to route out a suspected Enslaver infestation when the forces of the 13th Black Crusade struck. Barely escaping with their lives after defeating the Enslavers and narrowly avoiding destruction at the hands of Abaddon's forces the two drifted in space in a stolen Arvus Lighter before being picked up by Imperial forces headed for the Medusa system. Tanner now plays the part of the cad, a pompous and over bearing member of the Imperial Nobility allowing Serrano to assume the role of the dull witted over sized body guard. http://i44.tinypic.com/hufxic.jpg Lady Aiah Merissa Lady Merissa adopts the guise of an Imperial Courtesan, often in the company of the Mordian General. Merissa is, however, in fact a skilled Interrogator and assassin. She uses her skills of seduction and her standing as a member of the Nobility of one of the great Navigator Magisterial Houses to infiltrate and eliminate suspected traitors of the Imperium that have allied themselves with foul Xenos. Still very much a WIP I am going for more of a subtle angle for her. To all intents and purposes she seems harmless enough but has at all times various digital weapons secreted about her person. http://i53.tinypic.com/35m42u1.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/rbbh3c.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241494-agents-of-the-imperium/ Share on other sites

Token
Wow, good greenstuffing. Are they grey knights? The mods might get angry if its not power armor. Doghouse
Cheers guys. :( Yeah they are being designed for double use as part of a Coteaz GK army as well so I should be ok. Ultimately each group will form an independent retinue using the Henchman rules. As far as I know Inquisition is allowed on the forums though so as long as I don't throw in any xenos I should be ok. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241494-agents-of-the-imperium/#findComment-2917213 Share on other sites
Doghouse
Inquisitor Gui Tavera Where Serrano favours the path of subterfuge and slight of hand Tavera takes the more direct approach using intimidation and fear as a weapon with which to strike fear into the heart of heretics everywhere. As a member of the Ordo Hereticus, he sees his methods as being fitting of his order. http://i42.tinypic.com/10ncmwx.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/313fuqe.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/23tfc6c.jpg Rho Kreddict This next guy is Rho Kreddict a cigar chomping, lo resin chewing mercenary operating on the lawless worlds on the outer edges of the Maelstrom that is often employed by Tavera as a strong arm. Kreddict has managed acquire many favours over the years including a collection of Servitors that he uses for more hazardous missions. As he stands he's kind of wip at the moment but eventually I'll be removing the skull and cog on his belt and maybe converting the armour a little more. In GK terms he will probably be a power armoured warrior acolyte that will be accompanied by his retinue of Servitors armed with Heavy Bolters to give the retinue a bit of punch. In Inquisitor he'll only be taking the close combat servitors as Heavy Bolters are seriously over powered for that game. http://i44.tinypic.com/29wwzr4.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/65bmls.jpg Brother Nathaniel Utrecht Utrecht is a member of the zealous Summoners Chapter. He'll basically be the big guns that Tavera can draw upon in times of extreme desperation where the outcome of a mission can mean the difference between life and death for an entire planet. In 40k terms he'll eventually be a Castallan Crowe proxy once I've modified his weaponary and hopefully I'll be blinging out his armour to reflect this. http://i39.tinypic.com/2iatria.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241494-agents-of-the-imperium/#findComment-2917224 Share on other sites
batu
Fascinating project. I love how you put so much detail in the fluff, miniatures, army concept and and and. I will follow this thread with joy as any of your projects. Looking forward for progress ! Terminatorinhell
I think Tavera is a mix of the WHFB Chaos lord, some FW bits and no idea what for the arms, it looks like its won mini though! Denrik Greymane
Also agree, this is great work. Very nice modelling, and enjoy reading some fluff about models. Helps to grasp the idea behind them. I'd also like to know what base models those characters are, especially Lady Aiah Merissa. Looking forward to seeing more. Doghouse
Cheers guys! :) Tavera is indeed the Khorne WFB Lord, his left arm is from Inquisitor Karamazov, his right arm and head come from a servitor. The shoulder gun is a chopped up techmarine servo arm and the little tubes that run from it to his neck are from the Dark Eldar Urien Rakarth model. The Courtesan is based on the Dark Eldar Lhamaean. I'll try and get some more shots up later today. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241494-agents-of-the-imperium/#findComment-2917768 Share on other sites
Dorns Padawan
Hey Doghouse, like the new thread! Some great ideas you have there with their back grounds. Out of interest, have you ever tried working with Miliput? My fav is the Summoner, Utrecht - did you sculpt him from scratch? Doghouse
Cheers mate, great to hear from you again. :) Yeah I have dabbled with Fine Milliput and find that it works best mixed in with some GS because you get the best of both worlds and is great for making hard edges. I am making some scenery to go with these guys at the moment and those are being made from white milliput because it works well on larger pieces. Utrecht is a complete sculpt with the exception of the head, hands and guns. I do have a second version on the go at the moment wearing Mk II armour as well but will probably stick with this Mk VII guy for this little project. Space Marines are complete monsters in Inquisitor so not sure how many outings he'll see in that but am going to magnetise the bolter so that I can swap in a stormbolter and use him as Castellan Crowe in regualr 40k. Brother-Chaplain Kage
That is some incredible conversion work. My only dislike in the entire awesome bunch is the head on Kreddict - it just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the body. Brother_Fatiswon
RE: Rho Kreddict personally opinion but i feel the model needs a pair IG shoulder pads or maybe some home made GS ones... the arms look a little skinny to me, coming out of the Tech marine/MotF armor torso. Dexter Kong
Inq28/Inquisimunda is pretty much the coolest thing ever. I always love to see new project logs in this niche. Doghouse
Thanks guys! :eek Grotsmasha: Yeah been a bit busy of late but something like this is quite easy to fit in and is great fun as well. Brother Chaplain Kage/Brother_Fatiswon: Kreddict is a bit of a spare parts model but I will play around with the head a bit more and see what I can do with the shoulders. I need to disguise the body a bit more I think and play around with him a bit more. Got a couple more minis to chuck up later so will update this evening with any luck. Doghouse
They're just guest starring with the one bloke for now, if I can expand it to an GK Henchman army though there will be a Summoners dreadnought thrown in as I have a pretty cool conversion in mind. Pulse
Hahaha Doghouse is back with yet another project and what a corker, this looks like i will be a seriously enteraining and enjoyable project to work on as it more varied than just purely true-scale marines! Good to see a ts Summoner in the mix though. :P Awesome to see Molotov's ideas spreading as widely as they are, he's a good egg that one! Doghouse
Thanks mate. :pinch: Yeah it makes a welcome change from biggerising marines all the time and give me a chance to return to my roots of just hacking up minis. This is great fun though, just making one off characters makes for a nice change of pace. Just a quick update as I'm a bit shattered from work today. First up is a really simple conversion that I'm working on for a technomat or scribe. I think of him as being the equivalent of R2D2 at this point. Still got lots of work to do on him to add some detailing but it's a fun little conversion. http://i40.tinypic.com/2r6i3hz.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/25recns.jpg Another WIP is the first of three bounty hunters that I'm working on, unfortunately one of them is a xenos so I'll post a link later where you can see him rather than chuck him on here. http://i41.tinypic.com/x57dkm.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/34gwqwz.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241494-agents-of-the-imperium/#findComment-2918668 Share on other sites
