Very well done man, and congratulations on getting so many terminators so quickly!

You seem like a natural when it comes to painting, if only I could've produce models of that standard only 3 weeks into the hobby :)

I really like the finished tone of that bone armour, I wish I could achieve it, but you have to accept some things when you refuse to spray models white :P

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if my terminators didn't come out as good as that, and I've been painting for atleast 6 years, never mind 3 weeks!

Thanks for all the nice comments ;), i dont know i am a natural as such lol it does take me a long time achieve, like an hour an half maybe 2 to do the details on them, i have completed the squad now aswell... i will post pictures up in about an hour (waiting for my pizza to arrive at the guardroom and cant plug my phone into my laptop to get pics off as it loses signal)

i hate using white primer aswell tengo mate, doesnt apply to the models as well as black does in my opinion but hey, need bone armour using bleached bone... have to use white i guess. i was going to use dheneb stone over black as it is foundation but i am glad i went bleached bone :)

Wurzzel - thanks btw :) and paint job is as follows;

Armour - White primer,

basecoat bleached bone,

heavy wash of gryphonne sepia all over (bar weapons),

drybrush Bleached bone making sure the wash is fully dry first and that you leave recesses,

then final drybrush for a nice highlight 1:1 bleached bone skullwhite and you my friend are nipped :)

Chest eagle/what ever is on there - snot green followed by Thraka green wash (same for any cloth/ cloaks

Botler - chaos black,

blotgun metal,

and blood red on the casing, I have now added lithium purple to this and it makes the red look really rich in colour so now all red (Inc purity seals get this wash.

Crux terminus and any skulls - Codex grey,

Badab black wash

Drybrush Fortress grey.

Scrolls and Purity seal parchment - beached bone 1:1 water,

skull white leaving a line seperating the pages of the parchment.

there you have it thats how i have done my DW i am happy with how they turned out esspecially the armour, and i have just brought my last 2 squads of termies today so now have 2 CQB squads and 3 shooty squads, gonna get them all at least up to the armour stage and get down GW to learn to play :) Ow and i have belial although i havnt started him yet :P

Thanks Adam

Howdy!

Man, these models are wonderful and yet frustrating at the same time! You see, I'm also painting my DW but I just can get them to look right. The pictures above is how I'd like them to look but man, I just can't seem to get the highlights and blends of creamy white with bright white down.

Any suggestions?

thanks mate i really apprciate at that, as you have probobly read i have only actually been in the hobby since the 16th of december... so to get all these nice comments on my first finished squad i am over the moon.

About your question, if you follow the step i put in above you should get that outcome... alternativly if you haave specific questions on colours and the techniques i used on these modells, or even the brushes then feel free to ask mate i would be more than glad t help :)

Thanks Adam
