And well painted too, kudos to you :P Thank you. I had a lot of fun posing the Contemptor kit with the swords. Looks fantastic Brother-Captain! If you manage to make the Eagle look emerald it'll be a HUGE win! :P Seriously, despite my initial reservation it looks fine! I just pictured it gold in my mind from the beginning... Turns out there are more angles for the same project. ;) The swords are also coming along very nicely too (but that was expected) and excellent helmet! It did not show in the previous pics but now... Black & white is just a very striking combo! Overall this is the coolest dread I've seen EVER! Congrats Brother-Captain! Can't wait to see it finished! (and the other bits of the vow too)... Congratualtions for finishing this monster - you have to promise us a group picture of your entire force - once you're done with the vow. The bikes now. Are you gonna do them black and white - or are you going for the more immiediatly recognizeable all black of the RW? (I say go for black and white :mellow:) Is it going to be 3-strong or larger? Not now, and not after that amazing Dread you threw on our heads! :) EDIT: Your paint scheme is very striking. It's funny how black and white work so well - and your great brush control is adding to the effect further! The green in the faring(sp?) might benefit from a bit more shading (and maybe sharper highlighting) just to bring it at par with your dread's Chest Eagle. It's refreshing to see non-black RW!!! On an unrelated matter, I have to confess that when I saw the new FW termies I immediately visualised them with your paint scheme! ;) Don't now where you stand on them (reception so far is mixed) but there you go - I think a qurtered black/white pattern will flatter them no end! :lol: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am thinking about a set of the Tartarus suits for my Imperial Fists. Maybe I should just get two. Hmm... As for the green, it was only half-completed. I highlighted it a few more times, but looking at the pictures, I may need one more highlight with pure Scorpion Green. I will say the lighting is screwing the highlights a bit. *shrug* I don't really have time to worry too much about it, so slogging on is the plan. On a less I'm-going-broke-on-FW-resin-crack note, here's the progress for the night. The squad is complete except for just a few details here and there. Ever since I painted my first plasma gun purple (very terrible purple, granted) that has been my personal view of it and that sneaks into my painting. :( I suppose the "official" color is green, but that would have just blended in with the other greens.
