You're making a good progress, I hope we get enough vows finished to defend our title as subforum champions! :P Regarding your red models: when I started, I never highlighted, same reason as you: I thought they didn't need it. However, after a few years where shading was my only method on the armour, I found highlights very satisfying to the end result. Demoulius Posted March 11, 2012 Author Share Posted March 11, 2012 well i could try a test model first i supposed :blink: got a small update :blink: the lot same lot, different picture ive done the metallics, gave the priest a white helmet, made the weapons black (and metallic) and washed the gold and metallics badab black and the white parts with ogryn flesh. *breathes* all thats left is some details like helmet lenses and retouching small areas on the armour and the white wings and apoc helmet. also, hazard stripes on the chain weapons! im also not to sure on what colour to use for highlighting gold ^_^ -edit- also the washes were still during the pictures so they look abit different now then when the pictures were taken... Demoulius Posted March 29, 2012 Author Share Posted March 29, 2012 DIY Tycho is done! picture 1 picture 2 picture 3 (the shoulder says cleanse :)) and the next project: the furiosos! the old fart with some added additions from the furioso box (including the frag cannon incase I want to try it out ;)) And the straight out of the box furioso the grapple isent attached :P other angle saldy I added abit more glue then I intended so might have damaged the arm abit.... I hope I can patch it up abit with paint..... Theres so much to show and they look so much better with finished bases! -edit 2- after browsing the net abit and looking at picture I came back to my own and took a look at my own pictures. I have painted some details on my 2nd furioso which arent visible on the above picture as it was taken before i did... Demoulius Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share Posted April 1, 2012 Like i posted in my last post (via edit mind you) ive based my LPC and would like to show it (mostly because lots of people were asking for it :)) sadly the sun decided to bugger off when i got to my SP, liby and dread but it might come back later, who knows.... tacticals: picture 1 picture 2 scouts: picture 1 picture 2 picture 3 sadly one of the bolter scouts lost his night vision goggles. im still searching for it as i dont think ive got a replaccement :D DIY Tycho and HG: picture 1 picture 2 close up of Tycho Priest: picture 1 (dark) Librarian: picture 1 It sadly shows that i painted this mini in the night as a lot of details are missing or just not looking right....il have to see to it to patch that up :tu: Furioso 2: picture 1 picture 2 picture 3 Still to be named and i noticed i havent pa inted his mechanicus symbol yet.... anyway what do you guys think off his base? I painted it to him in with the rest of the army but im not sure if it works.... Also should i add grass to it? Having a stoneish base with grass seems...out of place :P what do you guys think?
