Hi guys, have finished this gang, not to sure about the skin tone, wanted a cold, futuristic look, but maybe too blue? what do you think? happy with the rest of the painting though, most of the figs are various Khurasan ranges, all C&C welcome.

Hi guys, a first look at some figures for my next 15mm 40K army, some riot police for an Adeptus Arbites force, when finished it will have about 80 figs and some support vehicles, this force will get an Urban theme, they can be allies to any of my other Imperial forces, thinking of doing them either red/white and dark blue, or judge Dredd colours blue/green/yellow, more pics on my blog, all C&C welcome

Hi guys

An update on my 15mm Blood Angels, making a paper dred, firstly I decided to re print the model at 70% rather than 60%, only because my 15mm Blood Angels are very large so I wanted my dred to fit in, most people would be happy with 60% I believe,

I decided to use superglue rather than white glue, it would have been to slow to dry, the superglue worked well, I just had to be careful of my fingers with such a small model, the model is coming along nicely, but it is a rather slow process, this is about 3-4 hours work, done whilst watching TV, although it looks quite detailed, all the detail is in print and will be lost when painted, so I will have to 3D the detail with plasticard rod etc, I'm pretty happy with the results so far, it is a lot sturdier then I thought it would be, let me know what you think.

Firstly, why the heck haven't I seen this before? This thread is awesome!

Secondly,

I don't think it will be too difficult to re sculpt the detail back into the model, you'll just have to be careful not to crush put pressure on the bugger!

On the plus side, as your doing blood Angels, I think sculpting up some blood droplets for the chest and or shoulders would give more flavor and be relatively easy.

Hi guys

I have done a bit more work on this today, I chose dual chain guns, mostly because it meant I didn't have to make the fist, which looked a bit fiddly, I think he is coming along nicely, will let the putty dry that is holding the chain guns on, then I will start on detailing the exterior, a pic for scale with a normal size Chaos marine and a 15mm marine and Termie, all comments welcome.

I bow to your level of dedication, this is so great!  As everybody else says, you've hit the feel and look of everything spot on, they look kinda like I remember the early stuff from the 80ies if that makes sense.

Have you considered press molds or simple resin casts for stuff like backpacks? I think that would save you some time.

With all the big stuff on the table these days, 40K would make a lot more sense as a 15mm game anyways :)

Hi guys

The 15mm Blood Angel Contemptor Dred with the base coat, still needs a lot of work, but you get a good enough idea that this trial has worked, I will be doing a lot more paper models for my 15mm forces moving forward, a pretty good looking model for zero cost.

Hi guys

I’m back on this project. Here’s my latest update

I gave the speeders a couple of coats of PVA to try and smooth out the surface, despite the rough finish it is an improvement, and will at least seal the surface to help the paint/washes from being soaked up by the spongy plastic. Will start the painting tomorrow.

this next model was printed by the same company, it is based on a Thunderhawk, but his to small to be a 15mm Thunderhawk, and is more suited to 6mm, I have tried to bulk it out with card stock armour plates, and will use it as a small drop ship, carrying maybe 2 squads.
