Ah, ogryn flesh... so I guess my normal tanned flesh - dwarf flesh - elf flesh highlight staages should have ogryn flesh thrown in somewhere, when I run out of tanned... hmmm.

Nice looking models you have there, love the techmarine!

And the master as well, I might steal the idea/try it myself. Will look very good for my GotC.

Moving forward...

Update:

I am starting with the Librarian. So I made him robes from Green Stuff, made him a Psychic Hood (for some weird reason this model doesn't have it), added some details so it is more to my liking, and I removed his Bolt Pistol and replaced it with a "spellbook", and I made a base for the model. His sword handle was broken, so I had to fix it, and I didn't like that he has default marine backpack, so I made him an unique one by converting a chaos backpack. In the end I cleaned all the mould lines, and primed the model with Chaos Black spray.

All characters in my Dark Angels army must have robes, so I had to sculpt robes for the Librarian; it is far from good, but it was either Librarian with badly sculpted robes, or no Librarian at all.

Next step is painting basic colours on the model...

Update:

I will finish Librarian soon. So I'll try to make Ezekiel really fast, even if I have to lessen the quality of my painting, since he is metal; I can wash him and paint again with more time and less stress...

I really hope I will not fail You, Brothers! On the other hand I have to say I like more how "fail" banner looks than the one for successful completion of a vow; arghhh get out of my mind!!! ><;

...

PS: I removed Purity Seal from Librarian's chest, cause he was losing much of his waist so it was affecting his stature negatively. Since, for me, Librarians have to have at least one Purity Seal I moved it on lover part of his robes...

Update:

Librarian is finished; at least for ETL. It is not painted as good as I wanted to, but I am running out of time; besides I think it is painted to a "tabletop quality".

Update:

Finally moving to the last model in my ETL vow! Mighty Ezekiel, such a beautiful model; this is one of the first DA models I got, and it was painted many times; every time I was unhappy how it turned out, cause my skills would not complement the model, so I would strip the colour. This time I don't have much time, so I'll really try to paint just the "tabletop quality" level for the ETL challenge, and I'll move slowly on in greater detail after the ETL is over.

We don't have to paint to the best of our abilities for the competition, right?

Time is really short; so I am really not sure if I'll make it, Brothers...

Update:

I think I am done; I mean it is tabletop quality level, right?

Besides I am almost out of Devlan Mud, so I wouldn't shade robes and some details in time for vow deadline anyways...

What say You Brothers, is this acceptable? Or should I fail cause this model is not on same "level" as my previous?

I'll call it done, and let You, Brothers, judge if it is worthy enough for the ETL challenge.

It was a long day I am barely awake, it is 04:53h in the morning here; no point in going further I might just mess it up.

I believe tabletop is fine, heck in some ways better then others I've been watching in those... lesser... chapters.. ;)

Ezekiel was one of my first models that really attracted me to Dark Angels. The pose was and is very dynamic. I would love for you to put up a separate post when you have time to finish him off. Love what you've done here on your other entries and must say I really do look forward to seeing your finished level of Ezekiel.

Thank You all!!!

Vow completion is accepted, and my humble 525 pts. are added to the battle score of the Unforgiven!

For the Lion!

PS: I really have to say that I think vow Failure Banner is so awesome that it really helps to deal with the shame of failure; nothing screams Unforgiven as menacing Interrogator Chaplain...
