Thanks for the comments guys!

Big, big Fluff update. And a sneak peak at a future squad!

Plague Talons! I know the claws might seem a little large, but I like em! Something really Nurgle to them for me. Going to do up 7 along these lines :)

Awesome conversions! Each and every conversion is well conceived and balance. The Typhus 'counts-as' is a particular favourite. When do we get to see some paint on the Plague Wolves?

Thanks for the compliment! Later rather than sooner, unfortunately. I'm going to assemble the whole army, then move onto the paint stage!

I forgot to take pics of the last mkVI plague, but here are some shots of my mkIII plague marine squad. Starting off with a champ and the plasma gunner!

As you can see, He's taken the helm of a 1Kson for his own! I love this armor with the plague marine kits. The studs on the belly plates go so well with the studs on the mkIII armor!

The only thing I don't like about the mkIII armor are the heads. Instead I'll be using the one found in the Red Scorpion FW set. I'll also be using the heavy weapons backpacks as I love the bulk of them on the plague marine look!

Put some Termies together! I've always liked the look of the World Eaters' heads with the tusks. Something about them felt perfect for a Spacewolf/Nurgle blend. I still need to get a smaller incision tool to pock these guys up, but I'm happy with the turn out. The champ has a special touch on him; 7 skulls! :)

For the Plague Wolf thats wearing the Thousand Son helm as a trophy it would be a nice touch to add a mark of Nurgle to it like he defaced it, wouldn't want anyone thinking he supported a foolish god like Tzeentch or something.

Dude, those a really really cool. But when I saw the marine with bare head (and small horns, the chaos warriors head guy) with the tube going into his ear (?) I couldnt help but wonder "how does he put on his helmet...?". Again, really awesome idea. I have seen khornate space wolves but never nurgle wolves, its a nice original idea.

I definitely overlooked that, and a few other things while bashing these guys together! Thanks for the criticism though :) While Khorn is the more plausible choice for Chaos Wolves, I couldn't resist combining the hearty, ale-drinking attitude with the playful charm of Nurgle.

Well, I've got crap news regarding my beloved Plague Wolves. They were in a box last May, marked and labeled, to be moved along with the rest of my stuff into my new apartment. Said box has yet to be found, and the new place only has two rooms and a storage space which have been searched many times over. I might have thought they were packed with Christmas stuff but now that all the decorations are out, I've given up. It's something that has been depressing me for a while; the thought of losing hundreds of dollars worth of stuff/conversions/works.

But all is not lost.

Like the phoenix, my disgusting wolves shall rise from ashes and burst into reality from the immaterium whence they were lost! Looking back on these pictures, there's quite a bit I plan on doing different:

1. Giving them some type of tru-scale treatment. I did it with my Ravens, and I can't go back! These tubby wolves are getting some height.

2. Less pre-heresy armor. Resin is really fun to work with, but the fluff of the Plague Wolves have them 40k, so I'll be using less this go around.

3. Number 2 leads directly into number 3: more plastic use from the Space Wolves Pack kit (legs) to give them a more visible SW heritage.

4. Less pristine fur; more tattered, rotten pelts. I'm excited to work on the ideas of rotting pelts hanging off my guys.

Some things will remain. I still plan on using the tri destroyer hive pad on all the shoulders. Converting another maulerfiend into a dark mechanicum thunderwolf will be fun. With this all in mind, I got to work:

Apologies for the crap pictures! I went for an advancing pose with a really weighty feel for the knife. Now that the painting cherry has been popped, I'm extremely excited to slap some color on him :)
