NCSUWolf Posted December 12, 2012 Author Share Posted December 12, 2012 I know you said you didn't have money to buy multiple TDA boxes but something you could do is get a few DV DW sets online and then one Assault TDA box. should be under a hundred depending on where you live. If you need CMLs there are some easy ways to make them yourself. I plan on grabbing the rumored DW box(es) as soon as release hits. Though I am itching to grab a TDA box/DV set before then depending on how this month's paychecks roll out. As for CMLs, Ive looked at a few options short of getting a TDA box for each unit (Havoc launchers, single launcher models, etc). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Heh, thank you kindly Brother! I paint my Bone color like so: Prime the model in Chaos Black (GW) Basecoat the bone parts (usually just the whole thing) in Rakara Flesh Pre-wash the dark areas in Gryphone Sephia (the leg joints, underarms, joints, face cheeks) Drybrush all the areas in Bleached Bone, trying to be a lighter on the already shaded areas Hit all the details (metal bits, weapons, etc) Wash the recesses again with a light Gryphone Sephia It's a process, and Im still working on it, but so far Ive loved the way my 1st Company has been coming out so far :D He looks good. A nice kit-bashed libbie. I loo forward to seeing him painted. Thankies! Ive gotten mixed feedback from him but I can't wait to slap some, albeit blue *spits*, paint on him and let the enemy quake at the sight of my tanked up psycher! NCSUWolf Posted November 22, 2013 Author Share Posted November 22, 2013 After keeping up with our own venerable Elmo's thread of late I was inspired to pull out some updates to my own Company ventures. Here are a few shots of the Dark Angels 3rd Company with elements of the 1st, 2nd, and 10th Companies as well. (Forgive the photos, sadly my camera-phone took better shots than my actual camera due to some settings errors). Below is 3 completed Tactical Squads, a 4th 90% done, 2 Dev squads (minus their bolter brothers in each), a Company master, Command squad with Banner and Apothecary, 1 (of 4) Drop pods, 2 Rhino chassis, Azrael, Seraphicus, Ezekiel, 2 more Librarians, and a smattering of other brothers (veteran or otherwise) from the 3rd, as well as Belial and an accoutrement of Terminator clad brothers of the 1st, Sammael and a contingent from the 2nd and a squad of Scouts from the 10th. The plans are to finish the Bolter brothers in the Dev squads, along with the absent Assault squads (en route to deepstrike by the end of the year) and round out the remaining Tactical Squads (Squads 5 + 6) to complete the company. Then all that remains is a few Armory elements/finished transports and the Battle company will be finished! All told the images below represent @ 6638 points of The Unforgiven (according to Army Builder, also including 3 not pictured landspeeders). All aquired, built, and painted since I joined my brethren just prior to the launch of 6th Edition. NCSUWolf Posted November 29, 2013 Author Share Posted November 29, 2013 I currently have a FireRaptor, FW Venerable Dread, a Chaplin w/jetpack, 2xVanguard vets and 2xAssault marine boxes inbound (prize winnings from the GT braket I won + trade for a tv my mother bought from me). So there will soon be all of those to assemble/paint. On hand I have to finish my LR, drop pods and rhinos and I want to go through and update some highlighting/basing to bring the whole force up to current specs. I actually spent most of my Thanksgiving drilling out bolter barrels (need a larger drill bit for the heavy/storms). Ive also been mulling around with starting a small force of.... >.>....<.<....>.>... Fallen!! Starting with a kitbashed Lord Cypher and a small contingent of Pre-Heresy looking Dark Angels (though subtly different after a 10000 years of seperation). The TH/SS and LC brothers do (or will once I check them) have Bolt pistols holstered and will have Chainswords hanging off their hips thus they'll be WISYWIG for either the CS/BP or special loadouts. Plus, when it's fluffy, rule of cool > all. Jump pack Chaplain - awesome.
