Shuggnuggath
Now that I have worked out how to post images properly I thought it would be a good time to post some pictures of my Deathwatch army. I made the army at around the time when the RPG came out. I sculpted all the different chapter badges with greenstuff and have tried to convey something personal of the Chapter for each marine. The army ended up winning Best Army trophy at the Bristol Vanguard tournament a year or two ago. Inquisitor Lord (librarian in terminator armour) Librarian - Blood Angels Sternguard 1 - Mentors, Sons of Medusa, Mantis Warriors, Marines Errant, Invaders Sternguard 2, Crimson Fists, Fire Hawks, Fire Angels, Black Dragons, Dark Angels Tactical Squad 1 - Space Sharks, Silver Skulls, Red Scorpions, Rainbow Warriors, Salamanders, Eagle Warriors, Nova Marines, Scythes of the Emperor, Storm Wardens, Imperial Fists. Tactical Squad 2 - A Black Shield (dubios fellow), White Scars, Iron Snakes, Blood Ravens, Red Templars, Genesis Chapter, Brazen Claws, Flesh Eaters, Executioners, Omega Marines. Terminators - Space Wolves, Angels of Absolution, Exorcists, Minotaurs, Blood Drinkers Land Raider Razorbacks Rhinos The prize! a really nice trophy. The Bristol Vanguard Club do the best terrain and tournaments I have been to. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and when the rest of the army is finished I will hopefully post some more :)
Phalanx Warder
Wow this army has me quite jealous, 1. of your painting skill, 2. of your green stuff skill 3. i didn't think of this!!! Excellent Job brother!
Brother_Angelus
Absolutely awesome. I've been mulling a Deathwatch army but couldn't persuade myself it would work in practice. But my god it works. Thankyou for the inspiration.
Shuggnuggath
I can't claim that is a very good army in the game. That not why I made it. I used the standard marine codex and it is a lot of fun to play. Especially when one of your marines does something heroic.

Ofcourse a splash of Deathwatch Contemptor Dreadnought makes that both form and function, which equals awesome.
Shuggnuggath
For me the 'Rule of Cool' trumps pretty much everything :jaw:
The Colossus
Wow. That's ridiculously cool!
tyrannosaurus
Jesus wept this army is amazing. My favourite is the Rainbow Warrior, you win the internet for including one from my favourite loyalist chapter. Freehand on the tanks is bloody brilliant too ;) :D :D
Shuggnuggath
It's a bit hard to see in the photo but the Rainbow Warrior has a 'Dark side of the Moon' style prism on his shin pad ;) Hes also a bit of a hero, fought of whole mob of frothing orks on his own for a turn in a game at the tournament. fivepointedstar
That army is sweet. I've wanted to do something like that for a long time. but time, and money are not my friends. :)
smallvictory
Great army idea well executed. I dig your collection of shoulderpads, looks like you GS'd more than a few of those, they are what puts this project over the top for me.
SickSix
Fantastic army! Great job on the custom icons.
Shuggnuggath
The only shoulder pads I didn't greenstuff are the Blood Angel one on the libby and the Dark Angel one which I happened to have in my bitz-box.
Kierdale
Excellent work! I too love that Rainbow Warrior. You did a great job on the helmet stripes.
Shuggnuggath
I did do a bit of a double-take when I saw the number of helmet stripes on the Rainbow Warrior in the Rogue Trader book. Then I figured 'in for a penny, in for a pound' at least I don't have to do a whole army of them :) I have painted another tactical squad and a chapter warden since I originally did the army. I will try and get some decent photos of them and post them soon.

Father Mapple
Your sculpting, conversions, and kit-bashing ideas are amazing. I love the BA bits on the BA terminator, but the SW bits on the SW termie, and this kind of thing is seen throughout. The attention to detail is amazing. I clicked on this to see how silly it would be because I'm a horrible cynic, but you completely shattered my disillusions. I can't say how awesome your Death Watch unit or models are. Super well done!
