Brother Amarel Posted October 31, 2012 Share Posted October 31, 2012 The 750pt list looks good - there's only so much you can do at that level. at 1,500pts it looks quite light on Troops slots for objectives, but I think it's fair to say that your opponent is likely to have enough fast stuff gunning at him that your troops are going to be low on the agenda. You might find that you need to avoid Deep Striking the Land Speeders to ensure that there's too much target choice for your opponent, to avoid him picking apart your Palatine Blades too early. Dusktiger Posted October 31, 2012 Author Share Posted October 31, 2012 agreed. i'm not too wild on the usage of Deep Strike anyways. when i made the list, i was trying to keep true to the fluff of the legion, and their preference for fast striking units. i play tested the 1500 list the other night, and going in i was thinking if i make changes, it'll be to drop the bikers and take more speeders; but due to what my opponent took, the bikers were more useful than the speeders. (he took 2 dreadnought talons of 2 dreads each) i might trim some fat in the 1500 list to see if i can improve the list a little bit more. as it was, i looked like i had half as many models on the board as my opponent did. which caused me to get wiped out. the problem is that im basing each higher list off the original so the wargear will match each time. im thinking of altering the one speeder from being HBolter, Havoc Launcher, 2 HKMs, to being a double of the other one; HBolter, Plasma Cannon, 2 HKMs. the higher Str value would certainly help. i'd also like to try and fit some apothecaries into the list if possible, seeing how that'll basically be a 5+ invul to anything my armor cant handle so long as it's not instant death. anyone have any suggestions for revisions? so far i've only ordered the 2 HQ models, the predator, and i already have some MK4 marines for the Palatine Blades unit. so i can change any other part of the list, or alter wargear options on the pred and HQs.
