ExiledMiniatures holiday log

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, it's Master Chaplain again. I know I've been posting a few blogs lately with no progress, but I wanted to create a centralized thread for all my holiday work this season.

So a quick explanation of what this thread is about.

Over the years, this hobby and community has been very good to me. It's helped with some tough times, financially and emotionally. With my move into the professional sector of the hobby next year, I want to take some time this holiday to give something back to the community and do something with the skills I've learned to this point.

This blog will consist of a few commission pieces, but mostly armies and miniatures for holiday raffles at Games Workshop, models for the kids at the local store who don't have as much as some of us, and projects to sell on eBay with 90% of the proceeds going to charities.

I'm still looking into exactly what charities I'd like to donate to, so if you have suggestions, please let me know.

The first project I'll be working on is a small Grey Knight force for the stores birthday celebration which one lucky person will be taking home.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be detailing the interior of this Razorback, then the outside.

I added a few scrolls, a helmet and a trinket. The rest of the space will be with freehand design.

Cheers everyone!

Cheers fellas! Glad you like the idea!

I did a little work on the interior tonight, not much because I was busy working on a commission for a buddies new game system called Conflict Horizon. Once I have his permission I'll post photo's in my blog, but for now I leave you some interior shots!

Still a lot to do including more work to the lenses, making the dots less harsh and finishing the buttons and interior!

Goodnight guys!

My LFGS holds a blood bowl tourney every year for the four diamonds fund. So maybe cancer research for kids or otherwise might be a good place to start? Also your comm screen totally surpasses my pitiful painting skills by leaps and bounds. Just my 2¢.Good luck Brother.

Cheers mate! I'll look into it.

I had a recommendation of a foundation that sends xbox's and games to hospitals and allows the kids to check them out to their rooms and play. I liked that one as well.

No painting tonight, need some sleep after 3 long days of work and painting. Half day tomorrow, then painting all night!

Alrighty, so it's been a while since I've had the time to update this thread. Tonight I finished one of the Terminators for the Grey Knight raffle army.

I also finished a Deathwing model for a client.

Just a few Tabletop pieces.

I did up a tester for a small Crimson Fist force I want to build using 3rd Ed. Marines.

Enjoy.

Awesome Mike! If you have any let me know! Also, any chance you could send me that email again? It went into spam and when I moved it to the inbox it bugged and deleted everything!

No problem. Would you mind sending me your email address in a pm? The other forum doesn't list it, it goes through the forum somehow. That's probably how it got sent to your junk mail. I'll re-write you an email and send it off asap then.

I would definitely weather and battle damage them some. I love the look of it over factory fresh armies any day of the week. Especially knowing that you can pull it off really convincingly. I wouldn't go over the to like a Marines Malevolent force or anything but some chips, scratches and dirt would look great in my opinion. Thanks for the pm, I'll get that email out again in the morning.
